Metal Gear Solid was a brilliant game. Probably cost me a few qualifications the amount of time I put into that game. It was all about stealth and not drawing attention to yourself...now they play Fortnite and build big massive bases on hills.

Gaming is still one of my few hobbies.. Just not one I get chance to indulge anymore... Lost many a year in rpgs and games like metal gear solid, resident evil etc good times!

Does anyone think the PPV figures would have been different if they were £20 a pop?

I've felt this for a while, £20 isn't much to some people, but to others it is, and often the content being provided just isn't worth it.

I've always been of the opinion that if PPV were a 10er, more people would buy it. Therefore the greedy gits at the top would still make their target figure and the rest of us would be able to bask in their sub-par content for a reasonable price.

Maybe I'm just a cheap skate.

Celebrities have bigger profiles and fanbases amongst the masses than Boxers do.

Sad but true and this is why the sales were so (unfortunately) good.

I can blame Hearn for a stupid undercard but not for the overall popularity of the sport. I don't see fish eyes or al gaymon doing anything either.

    We need Don King back

Feels like the sport is becoming more and more about the 'numbers'.

All I hear in Eddie Hearn interviews are about the figures and numbers, there huge etc etc.

Shows you what a good salesman he is though, he virtually tells viewers how he will exploit them and they will still pay.

To change some lines from the film gladiator, Commodus is Eddie Hearn and Gracchus and Falco are Jurgen and Myself.

Jurgen: 'Hype and PPV a powerful combination'

Me: You really think people are going to be seduced by that?

Jurgen: I think Eddie knows what PPV is. PPV is now for the casuals. Conjure fake beef for them and they will be distracted. Charge them £19.95 and still they will pay. The beating heart of PPV boxing is not the hardcore crowd, it's the power of the casuals. He will bring them flying tables and fake beef - and they will love him for it'

No surprise it done good numbers.

Won't be the last Youtube boxing event that you see either.

That’s his job though to be fair and you can’t knock him for it. He puts on shows that will sell, and he didn’t try and make out this was something it wasn’t. He admitted they weren’t great boxers but shoved it everywhere which normally gets people on board. I heard so many people talking about last Saturday.

I just wish more promoters would do the same for other fights, create more hype, more promotion and get more people to watch actual boxing.

Completely agree that as a promoter it is his jobs and he is one of the best promoters.

If I was a fighter he'd be the one I'd likely want to sign up with.

As a boxing fan I want to see the best fighters at all levels fight each other. It feels were having to pay more to line certain fighters pockets, rather than getting matchups that should be being delivered for the cost.

Depends on the elastacity of demand.

I think hardcore fans treat boxing like cigarettes. Will pay whatever.

This particular fight the youtubers treat it the same. Pay wathever.

Think there’s step demand. Probably would’ve sold as many at £20...
