The UK audience finds his style boring as fck. They walk out early out of his stinker fights. Add to that he destroyed many network and business deals by ducking the Klitschko rematch twice.
There isn't anyone in the UK who doesn't know who either are. We just have more choice these days than we did then entertainment wise and the fighters of the 90s had better rivalries wherein Khan ducked Brook.
First off, if he had said the stuff he had said in America (or as an American) he would have gotten exactly the same response from the liberal mainstream media in America as he did in Britain. Second, Fury knows nobody in Britain really cares what he does; so he won't really be missed. He's not a superstar in the U.S, whether he is treated like one or not by some people. But, our American cousins are good at making you feel important, filling your head with big dreams, showing you new things, plus the climate is agreeable too, so he may be thinking of a permanent move. He's from the Manchester area, which is a bleak, rather drab place at times and is under permanent cloud cover for 8 months of the year. However, in America it is ruthless, and as soon as he ceases to be a money maker he'll be dropped quicker than a girl with skiddy knickers, and all of a sudden Bob "Call me Bob" Arum won't be in the office to take his calls. Regardless, good luck to the man. He came from relative poverty, with little education or marketable skills beyond his boxing, with a father who served time, and he has provided for his family and can retire tomorrow if he wanted to. Which may be the problem. His hunger has gone, he has millions, he has a chip on his shoulder, so why not walk away? P.S as a fighter, personally, I find him to be interesting (at times) but terminally dull and over-rated.
Sounds bitter and sour to me that people just dont like him except for a few on here. in that case,. If he is gonna slag off the UK How about we all ignore him. Lets be honest, watching cricket is more entertaining than Fury in the ring
UK dont take to idiots like him who spew garbage. Same reason why a buffon like Trump could never be a leader in UK.
Birds of a feather, you can add @Sephiroth Rising 7 in there too, except ain't nobody putting Stephanie in power. Some interesting trivia about Stephanie: Has his own house, all paid for. Has his own house, all paid for.
What part of I what I wrote didn't you understand? All of it? Sounds like they're mad that people have more choice on what they can watch these days.
I'm neither a trump supporter or own a house, I own my own business. Noo one own's any house in this country. Alll the land belongs to the Queen who owns 1/6th of the earth, which estimates to be 6.6 billion acres of land around the world. I do not support any president since I do not believe I need to be presided over which is the whole meaning of having a president, Lord or Minister.
Fury flapping his gums as usual. It's a year since his last meaningful fight, which was 3 years after his previous meaningful fight. How much longer is he going to continue conning the fans for?
I think the reason he's not a major box office star is because his fights are pretty boring. We know that technically he's very good, but the casual fan just sees a huge 6'8" monster and want to see him put lights out, it's the heavyweight division!
Now this is what a I call a great post. Witty, fact based and well-written! Welcome to the forum, a sight for sore eyes!
