Both at there peak, pride fc rules, who wins this bloodbath and why weren’t we treated to this war when both men were at their best?

Have to go with Wanderlei. Bigger and more durable.

Both beasts, Wanderlei gets rocked to his boots several times, dropped whatever, but I cant see him losing. God it would be brutal. If they fought 3 times I could maybe see a win for MM out of it

Hunt had those two x10 and Manhoef laid him out in seconds.

I'd pick Manhoef. Better striker, bigger power, just as vicious...

He laid out a lazy disinterested Hunt who wasn't even training and literally ran into his best shot. I don't put much stock into that fight. Other than Manhoef hitting hard of course. Wanderlei in his prime was able to tank most of what was thrown at him and carry on. Toughness and durability would be the difference here. Also don't rule out Wanderleis ground skills. He has a big edge there and his soccer kicks and footstomps could come into play if he decides to go that route.

And? Hunt held his chin out on a platter for Sefo and never budged. He was lazy, but that ain't MM's fault.

Fact is, is that NOBODY had KO'ed Hunt at that point. Not even Wand (who Hunt beat).

Manhoef was on the BACKFOOT when he landed that shot, so don't start that.

Who did Wand eat bombs from in his prime that made his chin so legendary?

I do think that Wand, for all his aggression, knew when to take a dangerous opponent off guard and take them down. He could switch it up when needed.

There's no excuses man. It's an impressive feat but over a literally depressed and unmotivated Hunt. It's not solid enough evidence to back Manhoef against Wanderlei in MMA prime for prime.

Not saying it was legendary but it was solid certainly better than Manhoefs. Wanderlei ate some big shots from Hunt in their fight though which I doubt Manhoef would have absorbed.

    I get your point, but...

Manhoef laid out Hunt, on the back foot. Manhoef is not known for his counters.

Add to that, that Wand, IMHO, didn't have the greatest set of whiskers (but did have amazing recuperative powers) and I think Melvin might get him.

Now, Manhoef vs TRT Vitor would be something!

Manhoef definitely has the power to do it.... and its probably his best chance against an ATG. But on class and consistency I have to favor prime Wand. Manhoef was always a glass cannon and capable of losing to lower tier guys. Prime Wand wasn't

Yeah that would be a good one. Bellator should really set that one up. I wouldn't even mind Wand/Mahoef today. Although today id back Manhoef to win it.

Yeah, vulnerable. Wanderlei could be out on his feet and comeback instantly with a ko, as savage as anyone that's ever took up MMA imo, massive massive bollocks, as big a pair of bollocks as anyone that's ever competed in MMA

I'll take Wanderlei. His resume is more impressive overall. There was a time when people just about dropped a load in their drawers having to face him. Of course, as people have pointed out, Manhoef would be in with a shot; the guy was a seriously badass striker.
