I wouldn’t be surprised. It’s not like Canelo exclusively takes huge fights. (Liam Smith, Rocky Fielding for example.) Looks easy to make as well.
Cracking I’m in Vegas that weekend. I’m not so sure though, if he has been picked it shows Canelo is such a picker and chooser though.
Possibly true. The risk to the plank would be too great. The fight would be banned for humanitarian reasons.....
I imagine it will happen. Canelo and Oscar probably want no part of Beterbiev, he's put to much muscle on to safely move back down to 160 this soon, and after BJS recent performances, they probably feel he is an easier touch compared to Smith.
I think it's due too, and the reason BJS is with Hearn. Unsure how commited Billy has been for years, and this may be nearing the end for him with a huge payday. On top of that I believe Hearn has had a clear pathway set for Canelo from the start, and the script is being played like clockwork
It makes sense, Bertebiev is not going to happen and it shouldn't, Canelo is really a middleweight, his foray up to beat a world level light heavyweight was great but anyone expecting him to fight a prime, elite and possibly one day ATG 175lbr is just being ridiculous. It'll be enjoyable watching BJS get battered.
Would beat him everyday of the week. A switched on Smith isnt easy to hit to the head as you seen against Groves. Smith like Canelo has great inside fame but he also has an outstanding jab and footwork to go with it. Yes the extra size would be key but it would make the difference. I put it out there if Canelo fights Callum Smith he loses and most likely by stoppage too.
If this is true, what big fight has Hearn got for Liam Smith then. I can only guess he might try to bring Bivol over for the Anfield card?
