These two were training partners at one point, and Sergei was a force when Fedor was on top.

Both men, around 2003-2006, in their primes, who do you take to win and how?

Straight forward, Fedor..Good fight though as Kharitonov is a beast, I think Fedors speed and his versatility make the difference, more explosive too imo

No one beats Fedor in his prime.

Fedor decision. Hes not stopping Kharitonov standing but he'd do well enough to get inside and take him to the mat where he'd have an advantage.

I haven't seen a fighter yet that beats Fedor from this time period, his opposition back then were killers, he always found away. Who the **** gets dropped on their head like Randleman done to him then pull out a submission straight away. I like hearing interviews from other fighters back then on who they think was the best, they all say the same, Fedor !

Fedor is the Joe Louis of MMA. No question about it.

Kharitonov has been described as a T55 tank, and I can see why, he's as tough as heck and just keeps rolling. Fedor, however, was before his time and is a T-90.

I noticed when Fedor was prime, Couture always said he was the best, untouchable, then he lost to bigfoot and completely turned around and was chatting crap about him, when he was past prime and having fought the best MMA fighters of all time and come out on top. I wanted that match up bad, even after bigfoot he woulda demolished Randy !

Yeah pure beast Kharitonov, I think Fedor is way to versatile for him on the floor though, too slippery. After 5 rounds I think he would be a mess, bloodied and battered but there still !

T55 was an evolution of a ww2 tank. T90 is the lastest generation ;)

I could have said Abrams or Challenger but they're not ruski :D

Yeah he dipped before I thought he would, but its hard to maintain that level for so long in mma isn't it, I mean Stipes the best in the UFC ever after how many fights ?? Not many, they just don't last at the top that long it seems. I was expecting to much from a fighter who's prime was maybe a decade and more ago with Fedor, but you go back and watch Pride and I honestly think Cro Cop and Fedor rip him a new one

Kharitonov has kind of stabilized and settled like older heavyweights sometimes do. Unlike Fedor he can still eat a shot. Fedor is just a glass cannon at this point which is pretty sad. He wouldn't have lost to someone like Mitrione in 100 years at his best. at least he blasted Mir and Sonnen out though. I'm actually worried that he'll go to war with Page and get clipped. Jackson while shot still appears to have some durability and obviously can still crack. Fedor still has a huge grappling edge and should be able to neutralize him without much issue should he decide to go that route.
