If Ortiz loses the rematch to Wilder should he retire? He's been in boxing for decades

Wilder will want him for a third one within 12 months, stick around, fight some nobodies and wait for the call....Rinse and repeat
But yeah depending on HOW he loses I suppose

No one knows the answer until the fight is over. No one can have a realistic opinion of yes or no without determining how he lost. Im assuming everyone ( besides Wilder relatives ) will say no if its a controversial decision.

Ortiz has been the most avoided heavyweight for years. The only guy that was man enough to take him on was Wilder. Fury nor AJ wanted him, AJ was accepting top tier opponents but still not Ortiz.

If he loses by KO, yes.

Ortiz has been the biggest myth in heavyweight boxing this decade. Every time I've watched him bar the Wilder fight he's been very unimpressive and though he did okay against Wilder he still got starched.

In reality King Kong beats most of top champions you don't see on his record. He has the power, size & wisdom to know how to harm any heavyweight champion with one well timed punch.

Deontay Wilder act of instinctive Chivalry allowed us to see the extremely dangerous Luis Ortiz in title fights.

If the fight fight is close then we want to see a Trilogy in 2020

I’m not interested in watching Ortiz fight anyone anymore to be honest. I don’t know why I feel that way, I just do not care to see him fight anyone, so yes he might as well retire.

    He might as well.

If he can't beat wilder he won't get near Ruiz, fury, Joshua erc.

He is overrated based on nothing. Never fought anyone of note and looked awfull since last time out.

It's not hard to look good against wilder, wilder made spilka look half decent too...

That said I hope he has something left and knocks that clown wilder out.

Its highly unlikely however, wilder to win inside 4 rounds.

Old grandpa Ortiz is technically retired if his age is true. I heard he has his pension cheques delivered to him by the bomb squad when they visit him in his care home.

Highly rated guy that is just now getting his second "big exposure/big payday" fight. Seems like he would have sympathies for sticking around beyond most 40+ year olds...

He's unambitious, out of shape, ancient and slow as molasses. He should have retired a long time ago.

Absolutely not, should he lose he’ll be given the chance to fight Stiverne to see who gets a third throw of the dice.(actually this was supposed to be a joke but I could see this happening lol)
