Yeah maybe in Groves prime you could say so but the shaved pig was shot to pieces hence retiring after getting wrecked off Smith. Canelo is not shot, I think hes superior in virtually every regard than the Froch victim was when he fought Smith.
I think Canelo hits harder than that version of Groves (It wasn't the Groves from Froch 1). Canelo also moves and boxes far better than that version of Groves.
Almost 4 years since BJS won his first world title, and we're still talking about him fighting the best in his division. Probably be another 4 years until it actually happens. And that's only if BJS isn't comfortable with how much he has in the bank.

I think what you mean is a typical European stand up style done absolutely brilliantly. Excellent boxing fundamentals when boxing at short or long range. Terrific power, has always been exciting everytime he has stepped up. Stepped up to British title 1st round KO, Stepped up to European Title got 1st round knockout, Stepped up to world title and Ring Magazine holder with a brilliant 7th round knockout after boxing brilliantly. I wish we had a few more boring fighters like that Len.
What Lencore really means is Smith is a Joe Gallagher fighter and for uncertain reasons he has a pathological hatred for that trainer and by extension all of his fighters.
