I rewatched Pacquiao's historical victory (5X welterweight champion + oldest welterweight champion ever) over Thurman and man, dude absorbed some massive shots. The kind that buckled Shawn and Danny's knees. How would you rate the Senator's cheen?
Why not 10/10? Dude hasn't wobbled or shown signs of being hurt since Margarito detonated 2 death blows to his ribs. Roidquez turned his lights out, but that's not actually showing being hurt?
Realistically he has as good of a chin as one can possibly have. But since he can be ko'd as a malnourished teenager suffering from aa lack of a proper nutritional diet he will always have his detractors.
Great chin. He just loves fighting. You look at other fighters looking anxious when they are due to fight. This guy is 40, just took Thurman's 0 and called out Spence.
Was only thinking about this today Actually.Im not even sure if he’s human as we talking about a guy who traded and took punishment off the best.He ought to be punch drunk and shot to bits lol.
P4P - 10. This is a former Flyweight champ who’s best weight physically was at 126 taking punches from WWs. At WW, 8/10, possibly a 9. I have seen him shakened in fights but he has a good poker face and immediately recovers. In JMM 4, the first knockdown was legitimate and he was hurt but he recovered almost immediately. 8/10 because he was knocked down by JMM on the first KD, roids or not, I’m not sure that would have KD a 10/10 chin like Danny Garcia for example. He also has underrated defence, between cotto, Margo, Thurman, mathysse, mosley, odlh - all quality punchers, he wasn’t hit that that clean that often. Arguably 9. It’s around Shawn porter level IMO.
