A cheap saturday night for me.

I thought it was going to be more expensive considering how good the card is.

As Twentyman said, it's the principle - how can a guy lose in a very one-sided pummelling to a last-minute replacement and then have his PPV worth go up?

UK fans have been shafted twice here because the fight is not being held here and now have to pay even more to watch it. The only saving grace being the fact that the fight won't start at 3 or 4am.

People like Adam Smith always talk about how boxing is a working class sport. They always lap it up when they are promoting a fight for a street kid like Whyte. And then they inexplicably raise the price just days before Christmas when most working class people save up for months to fund their Christmas and NY celebrations and those with families are particularly hard-up.

Hearn won't care though while he's private jetting off to Saudi while the mugths cough up at home.

Like others here I wasn't really supporting anyone in this rematch. I've never been an AJ fan but really respected the fact that he's had the confidence to go straight into the rematch. But now I'm hoping Ruiz absolutely destroys Joshua. If Joshua then boxes on, there's no way his next fight can be on PPV.

When I have stayed up or broken sleep to watch those awful hour fights it's done me in for the following day. For a fiver more at a civilised time I am in. I am in no way a fan of Hearn other than he is occasionally entertaining, but this one seems fair enough.

I think even if AJ loses his the fight and if he chooses to fight on then course his next fight will be PPV. How will a AJ vs Chisora or Whyte not be PPV? AJ would still be the biggest selling boxing star in UK ( the next biggest after AJ is either Whyte or Khan but they don't come close).

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. The Internet was flooded with memes and casual fans lapping up the fact that Joshua lost to a “slob” of a man. If it happens again emphatically it will just amplify the ridicule. It’s the world we live in. I just don’t think they’d be able to get away with another PPV.

If Joshua loses and decides to fight on I’m pretty confident that David Price would be his opponent for a confidence boosting easy KO. Not a chance in hell thats a PPV. Maybe on a PPV undercard.

I wasn't going to buy it anyway but yeah, it continues to be a joke.

Virgin do it and its another reason why I'm sacking this off. These days it's not tenable to charge full price for an SD stream PPV. They (or Sky don't really care) make you pay a premium for Sky Sports HD also.

The only thing I can do as a fan is indicate that at this price point I'm not buying so they can factor that into their future calculations. So that's what I'll do. Tbh I enjoy Mike Costello's commentary on 5 live for these fights anyway.

Cheers for that will give that radio commentary a listen while I watch on tv, hopefully there’s no sound delay.

    Pub.

A big decent table and a big decent screen with your mates. Lots of ale and chat.

This is the only answer to PPV.

I agree with what's been said in the thread, upping the price is a **** take...I haven't looked forward to a fight like this for a long time so I have never option but to pay the money. I'm rubbish at trying to find other ways at watching the fight so looks like I will have to fork out for it.

    Jesus wept

Open your eyes mate, do a little bit of research and you will find better ways.

Millions will watch this fight live in the UK yet less than 1 million will buy through Sky Box Office.

Give me a nudge on fight night if you are still stuck.
