Fowler needs to earn it fowler should go fight Cheeseman then winner gets the rematch it’s so ****ing obvious but Hearn just wants to gift fowler the rematch.

Come on mate, leave Brian Rose alone...do we really need to see his already smashed up nose getting spread across his face again by Fitzy?

I hope they find Scott a reasonable fight elsewhere.

In the meantime, let’s have Fowler v Cheeseman next. If Anthony wins then he can face Fitzy in the rematch which will then be big enough to make it a good earner for both.

I live in Preston and Fitz v Rose is a big big event up here, it means Preston v Blackpool and seeing as we haven't played them in the footy since August 2013 (1-0 t'North End!!), this is probably the only time that we'll lock horns with them for quite a while barring us drawing them in the Cup.

After 2 very very hard fights, I think Fitz deserves a so called "easier" fight as I agree, Rose has his best days behind him but locally, as an event, this sells. The hype will be unreal. No love lost between the 2 places.

The Fowler fight will always be there and unlike Brook/Khan or Joshua/Wilder, it will be made within the next 2 years maximum.

Makes sense if you live around these parts and feel the local buzz on both sides.

Fowler v Cheeseman I agree with you on. Decent fight on paper.

No point praising Fitz for declining a rematch but chasing after Rose!

I’m all for Fowler v Cheeseman then the winner faces Fitz and why not let Fitz have a soft fight in Rose but if not the case he really shouldn’t be looking at Rose. He should actually be looking forward (as people bizarrely suggested he is) and moving on to (fringe) European level.

Don’t begrudge him a decent payday for an easier fight. Secure the British outright with some fights to prepare for the next level and then move on.

    Doesn’t owe Fowler anything.

Doesn’t owe Fowler or Cheeseman anything. I had him winning both fights. He’s done fantastic to be in the position he’s in but people are praising him for “moving forward” and fighting Brian Rose when in reality it’s about 3 steps back!

If/when he steps forward then I’ll rightly give him praise and I’ll support him because IMO he’s a likeable guy but as a boxing fan I can’t get behind him giving Rose a pasting. Does absolutely zero for me and does zero for his career. I want to see the best fights and that is those 3 fighting amongst each other whether it’s Ted v Fowler or Fitz v one of them. Fitz should be looking at a Sam Eggington minimum or any other fringe European level fighter. Fowler and Cheese are probably fringe euro in reality and he’s beat both so let’s move on.

Not disagreeing but he needs to secure his future so I don’t begrudge the odd easier fight. I think Rose and then Eggington would be cracking (no pun intended).

His future would surely be secured with a big fight at deepdale and imagine he won again, beit against Fowler or Cheeseman. He would be propelled right up there as one of matchrooms top stars.

I don’t think his future is going to be secured by a fight at British title level and as soon as he loses Eddie will throw him on the scrap heap. The Fowler rematch is his trump card, I’d hold onto it. Rose will earn him £50k, every little helps.

James Metcalf? Unbeaten, realistically another 2-3 years left, maybe that can be a good fight to keep him ticking over for the time being, I'm sure it would be easy to make, although I'd like to see Fitz tested at European level now, I think the time has come.

Hearn now saying a rematch in 2020 at Deepdale could still happen. At the end of the day money will talk. Just hope they don’t absolutely take the **** and put it on PPV.

It's not about Fitz owing fowler anything. Eddie's his boss and he will fight whoever the **** Eddie tells him to fight. You're all talking like he's some big superstar. Have a day off. Theyre both about the same level and fought to a split decision a few months ago. I'd definitely watch it again.
