I remember watching a Joe Calzaghe fight when I was younger. Granted I can't remember who against.

One that does stick in memory is David Haye Vs Chisora as I've been hooked on boxing ever since.

It was either Bruno vs Witherspoon or Tyson Vs Berbeck
More than likely the Bruno match thinking about it as ITV showed it as i was eating my breakfast
Was gutted when Bruno lost as all morning my Dad had been talking to me about him

I had seen boxing before this point, but I think this was the first time I *really* sat down and paid attention to a fight which I didn't already know what the outcome was going to be - partly we didn't (well we still don't) get a lot of live world level boxing in New Zealand so it was a bit of a thing to be able to actually watch a big fight live.

Anyway, it was Mike Tyson versus James "Buster" Douglas in 1990 and I was 12 - Mike Tyson was at peak infamy and I knew it more from reputation than anything... we (watched it with family) were all excited about seeing this beast in action and things really didn't go the way we expected, initially feeling massively let down by the promise but really it was an early lesson in watching boxing to expect anything. Styles make fights etc etc.

Tommy “The Duke” Morrison vs Ray “Merciless” Mercer. My father took me to see Mercer and he watched on as Mercer tried to remove Morrison’s head with his fists in the fifth. Brutal finish and I’ll never forget it.

Hatton vs Mayweather. I was 4. My Dad and God Mother love Hatton and wanted me to as well. So the pair of them stayed at my God Father's and bought the fight, I was made (yes, made) to stay up and watch it with them.
It was great fun tho, through my hazy memories I seem to remember half of the street virtually being there by the time the fight started.
When Mayweather lost his balance early on everyone lost their ****, when Hatton was stopped my god mother was crying and my dad was fuming as between him, my God Father, Mother and Uncle they lost about £350 (which I found out later on).

They like to joke that me and my Dad had a bet on it for my birthday present where I didn't get anything if Mayweather won. I don't remember that though.

Wow there are a lot of veterans here!
Mine isn’t too old. My first fight I remember watching was the famous “bite fight”, Holyfield vs Tyson II.

I was about 10 years and I remember seeing my parents and their friends who came over to see the fight go crazy over what Tyson did. I didn’t really understand boxing too much and I wouldn’t find out the impact it had on the sport until much later in life.

i was happily zapping the 99+ channels on the family's new satellite dish back in the 90s until i bumped over one of the sky channels. on the screen, tones of ppl, a dude with yellow trunks on with some EUropean Bank written on them was posing strangely on a Tina Turner tune... sheet looked somewhat more real but i was so happy wrestling was on!!..

it was the first benn fight and very soon after that the watson ones.

I remember Ali boxing ,so not a specific one I was under 6 . the most vivid matches for me were SRL vs Hagler .

Ask me my first memory ,it would be when I was born which never left unlike those other black out nights from a good night. .

Got in relatively late. Don´t know if it was live or not but Valuev vs Holyfield.
I was amazed that there was someone like Valuev who was "the" champ. And it blew my mind how a small and ancient black man was boxing circles around him. And then there was the robbery.
It really was like something out of a movie. Freak giant vs the former champion who was now way past his prime.
