Has there ever been cases where the winner of the bout "is koed" after the fight?

I saw a Muay Thai fight recently where the winner by decision collapsed shortly and feel was ko after he was proclaimed winner. Apparrently he reeived a barrage of hits in the last round however managed to stay on his feet.

 

I saw a bout on youtube where as the ref lifted the guy`s hand who had won the decision, the other boxer floored him with a shot, but I don`t know if he passed out, I feel Bowe would have done that to Lewis because he hit Donald at a presser and was ready to fight Lewis ringside at the Holy match, he was less scared of Lewis outside the ring than in it.

 

That was the Butler vs Grant fight but that was due to Butler sucker punching Grant.

 

Yes it was a sucker punch with an ungloved hand.

 

I just read in the comments under this vid that the idiot who threw the sucker punch eventually got jailed for murder!

With all due respect to London, he was a professional fighter and gave his all!
Ingo, in his prime, was not a great HW but had many more tools than Brian.
In their primes Johanson would have destroyed London.
Post Patterson, Ingo's attempt at a comeback wasn't going to happen; he was 'shot' mentally and his previous skills were heading south quickly.
London never impressed me in any of his fights I saw; slow, stiff, and non-contender worthy against top fighters.
Ingo had his, deserved moments, Cooper, Machen, Patterson and a right hand that Brian could only dream of having....

I remember when Marlon Starling was kayoed after the bell rang by Tomas Molinares, in 1988.

 

For years Philadelphia Jack O’Brien told a humorous story whereby he easily outboxed Stanley Ketchel for 10 rounds only to be knocked out in the final seconds of the bout. The bell rang with O’Briens head “resting comfortably and quietly in the resin box” saving him from a knockout (and a loss). Newspaper accounts picked Ketchel as the clear winner of the fight despite the knockdown and O’Briens story but for years that was the accepted version of events.

Luis Santana was declared the winner and new WBC Light-Middleweight champion while he was being carried out on a stretcher after his first fight against Terry Norris (rabbit punch DQ). Think he might still have been on the deck when he was declared the winner of their second fight, too (another DQ for Norris, this time for hitting after the bell).

 

Yep. Saw this live on ESPN. Ref. Paul Venti, who was getting long in the tooth, jumped in too early and as he was sopping the fight in favor of Meekins, Kawoya launched a hook that KOd Meekins. The call in favor of Meekins stood. The reasoning was that the ref was in the process of stopping it when the punch was thrown. Obviously, Kawoya was quite unlucky as Venti's judgment was clearly poor.
