Regardless what alex actually said I do think it's hyperbolic to claim that they are anywhere near the best in the bantamweight division all things considered.

Two boxers with massive potential but, aye, still a wee bit to go before they're near guys like Inoue and Tete. There's a fine line being having potential and your potential being realised. Time will tell.

I can't see McGregor staying too long at the weight, he's massive for bantamweight and couldn't have been much off 10st on Saturday. He must struggle to make weight and it will become increasingly more difficult as he gets older. Good luck to both boxers though. I wasn't there, unfortunately, but I watched in on the telly and it looked a great fight.

Yep time will tell.was a cracking fight Shame the right man never got the nod. Agree about the weight issue with lee he looked ill on the scales.Might serve him better in the long run to move up being so young still?

I stand by what I heard - Non Amazing Alexa Arthur in full bullshyte mode.

Looking over my shoulder anxiously these days just in case a man wearing kilt and slippers hits me on the back of head with pipe.

Really disappointed in the result with this one because it does farooq no justice and also takes away from what was a great fight

The undercard was very poor which was a shame when they had a chance to really make a great event of it

Every single fight on the undercard was McGregor's gym mates and friends versus unheralded and over-matched opponents and every single fight was a boring points win. It was thee most unspectacular undercard in the history of boxing. Have a look at the live chat comments on the iFL live stream. It was a joke.

Then in the main event, Farooq dominated McGregor. Farooq threw more, landed at a much higher percentage, landed more, made McGregor miss more, was on the front foot almost all night, had McGregor running backwards and when he wasn't running backwards he was hugging, clinching. McGregor was lucky only to be deducted 1 point, he fought dirty, fouled and even pushed Farooq threw the ropes.

In the interview in the ring after the fight McGregor said "opinion will maybe be 50-50" but to be honest, opinion is actually around 99-1. Look at all the comments everywhere. McGregor had 10 coaches booked to transport his fans from Edinburgh to Glasgow (1 hours drive) and some drove or took the train also, the arena boo'ed the decision. When he raised the belts, the arena again boo'ed.

Word is that yesterday McGregor's friends put out on there social media messages asking for folks to go to McGregor's page and leave messages of support because 'everyone's hating'. Yeah, when you need to do that you know you did'nt win.

Exactly! hardly the night to remember that was promised... hopefully farooq gets a rematch but I expect Mcgregor to avoid it by "moving up in levels" (euro) or up in weight
