I don’t know where people get these genius ideas from. Warren is signed to an exclusive BT deal, MTK Golden Contract shows are already on sky. So who exactly does that leave the bidding to? Mick Hennessy?

The Sky/Matchroom deal is an exclusive deal between the biggest platform and biggest promotional outfit in the uk, it makes no sense for one side to ruffle feathers.

If anyone has issues with their memory it would be you. Although when it started it was not “about established fighters”, it didn’t take long until established fighters were a huge part of the format and its marketing.

Heavyweights putting it all on the line.

I would only be comfortable with this concept if I had to pay £20 to watch it.

Sly Boxing is virtually dead already mate and I will jump with joy should Sky Box Office boxthing be assassinated.

Joshua only one fight away from earning pudding status - his best win against an old 41 year old man following 18 months out of the ring with the rest of the CV up against small, old and untalented puddings.

Boxthing needs to be rebuilt again from bottom up.

Never has so few puddings, earned so much, from PPV - sums up why Sky boxthing is virtually dead.

Too many puddings not enough main course, I see the problem here.

Personally i was never a fan of P.F but Eddie did say that it played a big part in M.R success. It got a lot of casuals interested again because of the bigger chance of fighters been k.od. or just the overall higher pace of the fight.

Giving fighters who don't have contracts with the big promoters a chance to show their skills on t.v is a good thing for your small hall fighters if that's the route they'd want to take but it doesn't work for all of them.

If it helps some of the small hall fighters get a leg up and bring some more casuals in, it's a good thing but I wouldn't be setting my planner for it

So you’re asking other than the events which had established fighters in, when were there established fighters in it?

Yeah I am. You said established fighters were a huge part of it. Google tells me there were 35 tournaments. How many really established fighters took part? The likes who are on Price’s sort of level now.

Do you think the Matchroom Cards on Sky Sports Boxing (Not on Box Office) is miles ahead of BT Sports, Channel 5 etc?

The fight on BBC Jockland on Saturday was much better and enjoyable than 99% of the Matchroom Pony served up this year.

Sir Audley! That's the only name needed.

I was never a fan of prizefighter but would watch Audley.

I always got the feeling that fighters would need to be paid a flat fee just for entering and then there’s the winners prize money I get the feeling it’s not worth the promoters time and money in the end when you have someone like AJ who would generate more just having a mando defence, ok that’s an extreme example but you get the idea
