Nope just saw the news, apparently a lung illness, would've been the first small guy unification in a long time. Between two really good fighters too, a classic boxer vs puncher matchup. Goddamnit.
That was one of my favorite matches of the month across Boxing, MMA and kickboxing. Damn. I'm bummed.... That really was a top fight. Hopefully it gets rescheduled. On the flipside at least there's time to find a half decent replacement.
Hekkie Budler and Ryoichi Taguchi are both available as #1 and #2 contenders in the WBC rankings. Both would make great replacements, no fuss there.
No really? Such a warrior, I loved watching him. He did leave on a high though, may have lost but he did himself really proud in a total war.
I don't see how Budler will beat Kenshiro. He can't outbox him, isn't strong enough to bully him or knock him out. Kenshiro via TKO 8.
I see it that way but I like Budler anyhow, he's quite a capable and scrappy boxer. Ken Shiro should win against him but of all realistic opponents available this is his best test.
