It is kind of disrespectful to pick guys like Laguna, Locche, and Aaron Pryor to beat him. I never understood the Benitez picks either but at least he was bigger and better.

Ditto Leonard and Duran to knock him out.

    None of that would happen.

there isn't much excitement to his career. Like he won 12 round amateur fights. He won and he is undefeated. What more can you say.

I think he was more concerned with the making the most money and retiring unbeaten that possible challenges that presented themselves to him he didnt go out of his way to meet.
And when he did meet some challenges he slanted them in his favor: type of gloves, weight restrictions, etc.
Then you have boxers like Hearns,Leonard,Toney that just wanted to fight to PROVE they were the best.
Mayweather was more business oriented which nothing wrong with that but it gets a little old after awhile.

I would agree with guys on the level of Locche, Laguna, (though he was talented). I think Mayweather should be favored solidly to beat those guys. Even Whitaker I think he should beat.
It's not disrespectful to pick Pryor, Leonard or Duran to beat him and perhaps knock him out. It's a reasonable view. You can disagree with it but the reality is Floyd never faced anyone on that level. He beat good fighters but those guys are all time greats.

Don Turner knows! He was there! He was only 4 years old but he understood everything that was going on.

Pryor had no defense and little resume and it's wishful thinking to pick Duran or Leonard to stop him.

They don't exchange resumes in the ring. I base mythical matchups on each boxer at their best. Pryor was a high volume powerpuncher with speed and relentless aggression.
It's not wishful thinking. How many times did Mayweather go 15 rounds? How many times did Floyd face someone on that level? Can't hear you?
Ray Leonard stopped Wilfredo Benitez but it's wishful thinking he could stop Mayweather? Be serious please. Duran hit harder than Leonard and stopped and hurt middleweights.
I'm not guaranteeing that they all stop him but it's a reasonable view unless your a Mayweather nuthugger

Exactly what I’m talking about. Those aren’t reasonable picks. You don’t seem to realize that volume punchers did not actually throw at their regular volume against Floyd. A no defense fighter like Pryor would obviously be picked apart.

As for Duran, he never stopped a top fighter at 147. Leonard wasn’t a one punch guy. He got tko’s against gassed fighters.

Benitez was stopped several times. Mayweather, never even floored over almost 20 years.
