Rumour has it they’re both going to be ringside in Saudi Arabia. Would it shock anyone if they also sold their soul for the riches of Saudi?

It wouldn’t be any shock if they fought in Saudi. They’re professional boxers who will almost always go where the money goes. Saudi is now becoming something of an alternative venue for boxing of late, and Fury’s already been there under the WWE banner.

I’d be surprised if they both attended the Joshua fight though.

Who cares where the fight is held other than potential issues with time differences?

In the case of Saudi Arabia they are only 3 hours ahead of us so no issue there.

Boxers will go where the money is.

Yea, sums it up really. Those 3 tend to do a lot of sitting and watching and not actually fight each other.

they’ve all been a round for a while now and we’ve only seen Wilder-Fury once. And that was only cos Wilder thought Fury was finished.

Hope not. Literally ZERO atmosphere at the venues...

Wonder if the champ Ortiz will be there too?

Smith v Groves was okay considering no travelling fans. That Khan night was a joke. Ruiz v Joshua might suffer from being outside in front of a sober crowd even with some english travelling!

I thought Smith and Groves was completely flat, I'm sure both even commented that it was?

Nothing like it would have been had it been contested at the o2 or Manchester for example. That said, the Saudi's earned them a few quid!

The recent WWE show seemed like it had a decent atmosphere. Is this just another anti Muslim myth?

Politics aside, it's a custom built venue and they have all the money in the world. It'll be eye popping.

The main English contingent in Saudi will be the Sky Crew and Rice Pudding Ruiz Jnr's full English breakfasts.

They go where the wonga is - the more wonga, the more likely they fight in Saudi.

The Saudis will no doubt cover the only financial downside, being the early fight time, having an impact on the number of USA PPV mugths.

Wilder vs Fury rematch in Saudi Arabia? Nah, don't think so.
Despite the money, there would be a lot of loss of control here. No Vegas judging, no US prime-time slot, no access to white powder for Fury and no access to pot for Wilder...

I think the whole Wilder/Fury masterplan is to sell as many American PPV's as possible. I'd say there's no chance of it being in Saudi Arabia.
