ggg was finished the minute he stopped fighting g class c fighters! Can’t believe people had the ducking never to compare him to the greats like hagler, Hopkins and so forth! All fighters even canelo are b+ right now so that makes ggg b- and can only dominate c level fighters
Finished is a relative term. He's still a nightmare for any 160 but he's a shadow of himself now. I hope he doesn't fight Canelo again. It'd unfairly tarnish his legacy if/when he'd get stopped on his feet.
You mean the mandatory that was likely set-up and paid for so GGG can have an easy title defense? Consider the following factors on the situation: - Szeremeta hasn't beaten anybody in a final eliminator - Szeremeta hasn't beaten anybody from the IBF top 15. - Dervy was Canelo's mandatory so GGG stepping should've pushed the mandatory back another year. When Fury was stripped for not fighting Glazkov , Charles Martin stepped in and satisfied the mandatory obligation. The IBF didn't call a mandatory for another year. We all know GGG could bypass that mandatory if he really wanted to. He pushed the IBF to make Kamil his mandatory so he wouldn't have to rematch SD or fight anybody else in the division with a pulse. This fight is a waste of time and won't bring him any closer to a rubber match with Canelo.
He should fight Callum Smith, go out of his comfort zone and try for greatness against a seemingly impossible task.

What we all DO know, with 100% certainty, is that if GGG tried to bypass Szeremeta, YOU would claim he was ducking him and that Golovkin is a ducker that's been exposed, that didn't want any part of the mighty Pole etc etc etc Get to work finding that proof, so long.
I think it is mostly The change in trainers,he throws less jabs now and more power punches.It makes him more exciting but more vulnerable against the elite.Against lesser opponents he can do what he wants and still get the k.o.A perfect example of this is the Kell brook fight,Kell was faster and landing some good stuff then Golovkin switched into another gear and started landing the jab double time,the jab softened him up for the heavy power shots mixed in.The Jacobs fight was similar,without a very active jab he couldn't have won.
He only had four entertaining fights. He arguably lost all of them. If you enjoy fighters clobbering no hopers into submission, then yes, GGG is your guy.
Whatevs.. my point was simply that his fights were not very entertaining with the Canelo, Jacobs, and Derevyanchenko fights being the exception.
Are we going to act like Geale, Murray, Lemieux, Macklin, Stevens, Rosado, Monroe, etc, are bums? Were they elite? No, but they were all top 5-10 MWs and he smoked them all. I get that you really dislike GGG because Canelo dropped his belt to avoid him and fought him when he was older and got a gift, but it was an absolute pleasure to watch this man in his prime. Just like a prime Kovalev was fun to watch, even though I really dislike him personally.
Quite possibly a mandatory against Szeremeta and then who knows? I wouldn't mind a rematch with Derevyanchenko, though both guys could probably use an easier fight first. Canelo 3 is probably never going to happen. DeLaHoya seems to have accomplished his goal of delaying it until people eventually lose interest.
