He has enough money to make him and his family comfortable forever. Why does he need more?

You just said 3 million is a good payday if its guaranteed if the event doesn't flop ? High commission ? The only thing high I can think of is Wilder and anyone condoning this to avoid the AJ fight . Stay away from the word NAIVE . :duh

Yea you're right Ortiz SHOULD be getting at least 5 million bc he was offered 7 from Hearn wasn't he while he had no opponent lined up ? :duh

Haha ok. Yeah right. The contracts was two fights with Joshua. If they can’t provide the fight he would have still got the money.

On top of that DAZN has an exclusive deal with DAZN if they tied up Wilder where would AJ have gone??? Be serious

They're laughing about someone doing themselves out of millions of dollars by being an idiot.

If they were earning $2000 a month when they'd been offered $40,000 a month for the the same job elsewhere you'd have a point.

He made $10m for the Fury fight due to the buys the event did. This event does significantly less. It’s already been documented he got $10m for Breazeale too after he turned down $20m from DAZN for the same fight.

surely everyone was in agreement that Wilder was being led by PBC and Finkel to keep him away from DAZN to stop them taking over. The move was in PBC interest and not Wilders only Wilder seems to not see it.

$120m guaranteed for 3 fights he will never get the same money from anywhere else based on the fact he’s getting old and running out of fights

120 million to one who hasn't yet proved to bring butts to seats outside his home state, hasn't done a million buys -- is why I never ever looked at those articles.

Ortiz was offered $7m against Joshua. Haymon told him to turn it down and he would give him a better offer against Wilder so you would have to assume that was written into a contract and binding.

However, Wilder turning down $120,000,000 for DAZN is just dumb dumb dumb.

Maybe he turned it down because there were too many zeros?

Yeah that’s a great excuse but we all know it’s bullsh**! Should of called the bluff. He could easily of chinned Joshua as well. What a mug. For someone that has so much self confidence he really effed up there.

I'm sure Wilder is getting some guaranteed upside from Haymon/ Showtime as not even he is that much of a dumb **** to turn down DAZN's stupendous offer without there being a reasonable alternative on the table.

Where I am dumbstruck however is, why the **** did Ortiz turn down the $7 million dollars for the AJ fight. The only rational reason is because he was mid PED cycle as there is no way on this earth that the upside to his guaranteed 1.5 mil will garner him a 7 mil payday.
