Phenomenal condition and lowest ever weight. Deontay needs to be dialled in and on his A Game as Ortiz is hugely motivated and has serious intentions.
But is he mentally in shape ? He got hurt anytime Wilder landed in the first fight. Fighting is not a Bodybuilding contest at Heavy......coming in that low in weight might make him weaker in terms of output and punch resistance......Ortiz is of similar age than combacking Foreman ...after boiling down initially he felt it sapped his strength and he went up and cared more about actually fighting well instead of just looking well.
What exactly is "that low"? He weighed in two pounds lighter than vs. Hammer and five pounds lighter than vs. Wilder in the first fight. I would exactly call it "that low". The weight doesn't matter anyway. Look at his shape. He put in the work. He changed things. At 40! He's hungry. I don't know many fighters in his 40s who are changing tons of things in camp or even hiring S&C coaches for the first time. Ortiz is definitely mentally ready. I think he might be in the best shape of his career. I'm not saying he wins, but he definitely will bring it. And No, rewatch the first fight, he wasn't hurt every time Wilder lands. He took bombs the whole fight. I actually think Ortiz might have a better chance than in the first fight. Wilder getting old aswell. He's a let down spot in the next 1-2 years.
LOL, so getting knocked down numerous times and ultimately getting ko'ed is not "hurt"......what sport are you watching ? Wilder took his best without down. end of......"looking" in shape does not mean he is in fighting shape.......IMO Ortiz is going to be gun shy and trying to box to a UD.
Did you actually watch the fight or just boxrec'd it? I don't know. First KD was a flash KD, Ortiz wasn't hurt badly. He was winning the round before he was caught. Then he came back, and nearly stopped Wilder in R7. I think Ortiz is the only guy who was ever dropped by Wilder, getting up, coming back and nearly stopping him inside 2 rounds. Another thing...you clearly should learn HOW to read. I just wrote Ortiz wasn't hurt everytime Wilder landed. Wilder landed some bombs and Ortiz was dropped only once before he got stopped in R10. It's not like he was down every second round. You're stupid man. And ignorant. Goodbye and Hello to my Ignore list.
Grandpa Ortiz looks like the god damned crypt keeper from Demons Night. Deontay's gonna retire that old goon!
Wilder will kill him again. He has height, reach, age, power advantage. He also has referee and judges advantages. Wilder is cash cow of several boxing agencies. They will no way allow him to be defeated. To tell the truth, I think this match is fixed too, just like Kovalev vs Canelo.
I’m expecting a similar outcome to the wilder/stiverne rematch, wilder jumps on him from the get go and blasts him out of there I hope I’m wrong though
