    Smith mid round KO
Ryder's footwork will see him eating right hands - doesn't get his foot on the outside enough for me which makes him real easy to catch and that low right hand might not do him any favors. He took plenty of clean shots Vs Sirotkin and OK Ryder got to him in the end but against a genuine puncher not sure how he goes. I favour Smith to keep him on the end of the jab early and then start landing clean after the first few rounds. Ryder is tuff but doesn't move his head and has gaps in his defense.

Some respected posters picking Ryder so maybe i'm hugely out here but I just can't see past a Smith KO or routine points win

Smith on dodgy point decision. Ryder is tough, he'll last distance.

    Smith stoppage in 10.

However it’s not a given and bar the Groves KO Smith really hasn’t impressed me to believe he’s the next big thing at 168.

Would love to see Ryder do it but I don't think he will.

I’m going smith on points. But the weigh in today was worst I’ve seen smith look on the scales.

going to be really intresting to see who can take the center of the ring and if ryder will back smith up a lot.

Smith on points in a competitive, messy fight.

Hope I'm wrong, want to see Ryder cause the upset and continue this great run he's been on.

    WAR Ryder.

I dont think he looked worse than he did when on the scales against Groves. This time though as soon as he was off the scales he was drinking water. Not too unusual but was the same next time he got a few spare seconds on stage. Might be nothing, but might be the case that he had totally dried himself out making weight.

6”3 and 167 1/2 ib...at 29 years old. I’m a Smith fan, but he’s pushing it big time at super middle. He can’t keep doing it. I think he’ll come through this test but any longer at this weight against an elite level fighter and he’s going to be in bother. Hope he moves up after this.

Yep, it’s like Jamie McDonnell. Just way too large for the weight.

Hard to hear anyone say a bad word about Ryder in the boxing world, and like others have said, I hope he does well and its a good fight. One of the good guys and in great form. Reckon he loses a fairly clear UD though. Also echo other posters that say Callum should move up.

I think the fight won’t end early

A close look at Smiths power shows he beats guys who have bad chins. His last 4 decision wins came against guys who combined for 1 KO loss, meaning he isn’t stopping guys with good chins

Ryder makes it to the second half of the fight

Yup, agree with the bad chins comment aside from Groves, who was 3/4 retired anyway going in.

Groves was also world level and had fought everyone. Aside from him, he was knocking out guys he should knockout and not stopping lower tier guys with good beards. Ryder isn’t low tier.

Agreed, that's why I reckon it's going points. A late stoppage wouldn't surprise me, but Ryder is definitely durable. Canelo vs Smith at light heavy next year perhaps, haha.
