    That's a myth.

86-88 Tyson is not gonna be spent after 5 rounds. You're thinking of late 90s Tyson.

Joe would have to last until the 10th to drown Mike... but that wouldn't happen.

The firepower of Tyson is too much.

I think Liston and Foreman are bigger threats to Tyson than Frazier.

For the life of me I can't see Joe winning.

No, he couldn't beat Frazier the way Foreman did. Tyson didn't fight nothing like Foreman. Tyson didn't have the physical strength that made Foreman so dangerous. It's like comparing a Porsche to a Mack truck. Now if your thinking about similar results that's understandable. But very doubtful in my opinion.

I agree with this. Like a combo of Patterson and Liston. You know it's funny, before people said Tyson fought like Frazier, so because of that style Foreman would whip him. Ok, if he fights like Frazier then he gives Ali hell and can beat him, right? They don't like that equation, so now they're saying Tyson fights nothing like Frazier. Constantly moving the goal posts to fit their agenda.

Tyson is Frazier 2.0, really. Frazier likes to bob up and down and is more active on the inside. Tyson is more of a gyroscopic mount and counterpuncher. When Mike fought Marvis he knew he would bend forward like Joe, so Mike timed him coming in. After that it was a wrap.

So I like the comparison to Patterson but sprinkle some Liston in there as well.

Replay of the marvin fight, he gets caught and stopped, fairly quickly, he will never get "smoking".

    Fukk sake.

What Foreman had, height, reach and enormous strength advantage Tyson doesn't have. Foreman completely neutralized Joe because he shoved Joe constantly into his punching range which prevented Joe from working inside and targeting the body. Tyson isn't big or strong enough to do this and never fought that way full stop.

Holyfield smothered Tyson's mid range dependent attack and dominated him inside and he doesn't hit as hard or fight as well inside as Joe. Evander does better at range than Joe but seeing as Joe and Tyson are basically the same height and reach then that won't really come into it. Frazier would take Tysons best distance away from him (just he took Ali's in FOTC and for large parts of Manilla) once that's gone so is Tyson's chance of winning.

It would become an attrition fight and no one does attrition better than Joe. You can wax lyrical about 85-88 Tyson but even then if you survived the early onslaught he wouldn't put you away. Tillis, Tucker, Green, Bonecrusher all coped just fine and none of these were in Frazier's league.

This Tyson takes him out with one punch or beats him like he did Marvis is nonsense but is the standard lazy thinking that Tyson fans resort to and it's why debating them is pointless.

Then why debate Tyson fans? It's obvious that Tillis, Tucker, Green and Bonecrusher fight nothing like Smokin Joe. It has nothing to do with league, but maybe a little thing called style? Tyson won't have to chase Frazier down and Frazier aint outmaneuvering a post prison Mike like Holyfield did. You don't trade with Tyson, you nullify his offense. Frazier NEVER, at any times in his career, showed he could do this. He charged in like a bull in a straight line. Not even Lennox Lewis did this to Tyson's corpse.

Your wasted 3 paragraph post belongs in the bush league bro. Wipe your nose.

Your hero is 1-4 in his sig fights......blown out twice in non competitive fashion......his claim to fame is beating a rusty Ali whose legs were gone thanks to Uncle Sam....and never could replicate the first.........he met ONE BIG puncher and he crumbled.......Frazier aint got the chin to deal with Tyson.....the Mummy knocked him down with wide telegraphed shots he saw coming but his chin could not take them......understood ?........he would never see Tyson shoots coming and he goes to sleep

How did Ali survive Foreman if his legs were gone? No disrespect, but that's hard to buy. Ali was a great fighter still in 1971, Frazier beat him due to some of the most focused animosity I'd ever seen. FOTC Frazier beats any heavyweight imo. I have never seen a fighter more determined to steamroll someone than Joe that night.

    What did I just type?

I said Frazier takes mid-range away from Tyson and thus nullifies his offense. It's precisely what Holyfield did and Tyson was clueless and Frazier fought up close better than Evander. Clearly reading comprehension isn't your thing.

Also what did Douglas do if he didn't nullify Tyson's attack? He used different tactics to Holyfield but Tyson's attack was completely nullified (apart from one punch in round 8) and Tyson reverted to looking for one punch which he always did when he was frustrated. Just because you imagine Tyson was this unstoppable force doesn't mean the rest of us with two working eyes buys your pathetic slavish hero worship. We can see his deficiencies along with his strengths which you simply cannot do, thus rendering your opinions worthless. Your fight breakdowns involving Tinkerbell amounts to "Tyson walks out. throws a punch and opponent (anyone at all) falls down unconscious". Sorry boxing isn't that simplistic and your constant denigration and marginalization of great fighters to big up Tinkerbell is as pathetic as it is disrespectful.

I mean you're such a child about Mikey he'd be your first and only choice to replace Iron Man in the next Avengers film. Tyson KO 1 Thanos.

    Don't go there.

Tyson is 2-3 in his and the two wins are a blown up inactive Lt Heavyweight and an inactive 38 year old on a losing streak. The other two best names on his ledger in Holyfield and Lewis beat the hell out of Tyson and brutally knocked him out despite being past their best and older than Tyson himself, before you go making excuses for your boy. And I won't include Douglas in this to do Mike a favour as he's not a good enough name or fighter to count as a signature anything.

Yeah right Tyson puts Frazier to sleep. Foreman teed off on an out of shape Joe and couldn't keep him on the floor for more than a second or two and Foreman is again bigger, stronger and hits harder than Tyson without even mentioning the completely different stylistic problems he posed that Tyson did not. Joe isn't Marvis and Mike isn't George......understood?

This is why discussing Tyson with his juvenile fans is pointless. They put absolutely zero thought into it. They watch his greatest hits package on youtube and seeing him blowing out Reggie Gross or Donnie Long and assume he does the same to everyone he meets. It's ridiculous.

Tyson was more explosive than Frazier punch for punch. Mike was quicker with a better right hand. About 10lbs heavier.
Frazier was a tree stump with most of the weight in his legs. He was a better inside fighter than Tyson, a better more consistent bodypuncher than Mike. Frazier had better, stamina, heart and will to win. He could take punishment and keep his head in the fight. Joe could lose rounds but grind a guy down with his body assault.
Tyson had a bully mentality and Frazier was the opposite of the bully. If Mike starts getting hit he tightens up, his offense falls off a cliff. He starts throwing 1 punch at a time and leaning. His mind doesn't stay the course.
Two different kinds of men. That is why Tyson would lose to Ali. Mike wouldn't be able to take the fire that Joe took to get inside. He wasnt built for it. He had a glass mind.
Frazier vs Tyson? Tyson would win. All those advantages Joe had probably wouldn't come into play. He would have a problem with Tyson's uppercuts with both hands and his quickness in general.

Your low IQ strikes again. Same old **** huh pud? Fukkin dipsh1t...when has Frazier EVER fought like Holyfield did against Tyson? Against who? Holyfield's strategy was defense and counterpunching. That must be Smokin Joe's MO, aye there fukkface? Frazier's gonna stop Tyson by going straight to him? Because that's the only way he knows how to mix. Chin stuck out for anyone to swing at. And Tyson aint missing that bullseye.

    Tyson KO1 Frazier.

One of the bravest fighters in history would fall over against the biggest front runner in history in a round? Yeah sure.

Frazier would work inside and negate Tyson's range and bully him in close where Tyson was virtually useless, take him past the mid rounds where he posed his only threat and then beat his arse until he quit or folded which he would. Like he'd just stand there with his chin stuck up waiting to be hit without returning fire, you gormless fanboy wimp.

Frazier KO's Tinkerbell's overrated behind after beating him worse than B grade Buster ever could
