Lennox is just kidding around He knows his lovely wife Violet would kick his ass if he ever fought again
Lewis relied a lot on his physical advantages over his shorter opponents. That's the Steward style. He'd be average sized for a top heavyweight today.
Lennox is an ATG imo but a comeback now would be madness. No heavyweight can be that successful at that age, no matter how good they were. I hate to say it but a guy from the lower heavyweight ranks would probably beat him in a tuneup if he came back.
Lol kid there were tons of 6'5 plus guys in the 90's. If you want to use your sad logic. The only person Wilder face who was taller than he was is Tyson Fury. Lennox Lewis knocked out the 6'7 Michael Grant who is just as taller as Fury. What is even more funny is Andy Ruiz is 5'11/6'0 tall and if heavyweight champion of the world. What is even more funny kid is I don't recall there being a heavyweight height class. If all it took was being tall to be heavyweight wouldn't even ex basketball player turn to boxing if they fail at basketball? Lennox Lewis is taller than Luis Ortiz. Who is a legit 6'2. A 50 year old Ortiz almost beat a prime Wilder. But yeah the 6'4 1/2 Lennox Lewis couldn't beat him. Also also the guys now days are more skilled What type of drugs are you using. Wilder has no skill and he is the heavyweight champion of the world. Tyson Fury is consider extremely skilled for today's standards and he throws walking punches. The tallest person Tyson Fury beat was the 6'5 Wladimir Klistcho. The tallest people Lennox Lewis beat were 6'7 Henry Akinwade, 6'7 Michael Grant. The tallest person Wilder beat was the 6'7 Kevin Price. Lol Kevin Price is a bum kid. You younger generation of clueless fans who love to talk about height like there were no taller heavyweight back in the 90's. Both Vitali Klitschko and Wlad turned pro in the 90's. Wlad was champ until a few years ago. The people who beat him in his prime were all around 6'3 or less. Nobody acted like Wlad being 6'5 was impressive or Vitali being 6'7 was impressive. Nobody cared because being taller doesn't make you a better heavyweight. If anything the taller you become the more robotic you become. One last point you sad troll. Anthony Joshua is around 6'5. You typed guys today are more skilled. If you honestly believe AJ is more skilled than Lennox Lewis then you should leave this site. Now I am done typing to you. Everything you type will be ignored bye me.
You mean the same McCall who was never knocked out or down in his career? Well at least Lewis didn't quit against a blown up light punching guy in Chris Byrd like Vitali Kliltschko did. At least Lewis didn't get knocked out by a bum like Ross Purrity like Wlad K did.
Lol which is funny since Lewis fought various guys taller than him. You know guys like Michael Grant. Henry Akwinwande, Vitali Klitschko, Tyrell Biggs ect. But yeah lets pretend like every fight Deontay Wilder fought was taller than him. Lets pretend like the 5'11 300 pound Andy Ruiz isn't heavyweight champion of the world. The 6'2 50 year old Luis Ortiz didn't push Wilder to the limit. Lets forget the the 6'1 Alexander Povetkin was the champion up until a few years ago. Lets forgot the 6'2 Joseph Parker was just champ. Yep because everybody back in the 90s were midgets. Yeah human beings just started being taller in the last 5 years. Which is funny since average American male in the 90's was 5'10 an the average American today is 5'10. Lennox Lewis was only slighter shorter than AJ. But who cares? Because there is no height class in boxing. There is a weight class. Lewis a much heavier than Wilder. Lewis has more skill than Wilder. Lewis right hand was better than Wilder. Lewis fought in a better era. Lewis would lose today because he is old. Not for any other reason.
Alexander Povetkin was never "the champion". He held the WBA regular belt, which is not the WBA's recognised world title. It's the same title that Lucas Browne and Ruslan Chagaev held.
Lol a belt if a belt kid. Alexander Povetkin was still consider the best heavyweight in the world at that time. He is 6'1 so my point stands. Andy Ruiz is 5'11 and is the champion now. So my point stands even more. Also Wilder won the title from the 6'1 37 year old Bermaine Stiverne. 50 year old 6'2 fat Luis Ortiz gave Wilder fits. You know why? Because only the clueless younger generation of boxing fan think that being 6'5 gives you any advantage over somebody who is 6'3 for example.
What are you talking about? Each "recognised" sanctioning body has one world title, not two. By your strange assessment, then the WBC Silver Heavyweight belt is a legitimate world title belt, as it is the equivalent of what Alexander Povetkin held. Alexander Povetkin never held a world title. If he did, then Manuel Charr is currently the WBA champion, holding the "regular" title. If the WBA regular title is a legitimate world title, then why is it not required to become the recognised undisputed world champion?
that's just you going on BoxRec seeing his height and then making the only assumption your brain knowa how to make. You don't know what you're talkin about. Lewis is one of the best fighters ever
