He just avoided random drug testing.

On top of that he drained multiple fighters, won titles at catchweight, had questionable hand wraps, fought many fighters at the tail end of their career... you know, the same reasons you have used to criticize the great Canelo.

well not many people love Floyd either, if thats who u were describing... yeah many people don't like a guy because of his dull personality... whats so unusual about that? do u have friends that have dull personalities and are boring? well, to many boxing fans, they like them to have charisma and presence inside the ring, and out... just stating facts here... this applies not only to athletes, but to movie stars, musicians, artists, celebrities...

The fact Canelo failed TWO tests and was protected by the pro Mexican WBC and then the failures where brushed under the carpet speaks volumes.

He is a proven drug cheat, that simple.

 

Lots of people have criticised those aspects of Pac's resume.

I hate catchweights and draining, am suspicious of anyone who ducks drug testing - hadn't heard about the hand wraps tbf - and obviously took into account the age of some of his opponents. Only a fool would say OLDH and Mosley were even remotely near the best versions of themselves given their age at the time Pac fought them and we only saw him face slightly faded and then shot versions of Morales and MAB in the rematches.

This doesn't stop Pac being clearly being a talent and no-one has argued that Canelo isn't talented - people just don't like coddled deck stacking divas who when they come up short get bailed out by friendly judges.

 

Because being hispanic/latino myself I've seen that in several of his Spanish language interviews Canelo comes off very differently than in his English speaking interviews. A lot more pleasant, funny and quite charming. In his English interviews he undoubtedly comes off more stand offish in most.

Nobody has a problem with how Canelo looks or how he interviews. Heck, I even like the way he fights, he's clearly talented, he fights clean and he is exciting to watch. It's the level of favouritism and deckstacking around Canelo that makes people hate him. It's really as simple as that.
