Is there any doubt at all that a prime, faster and more skilled Usyk wouldn't shut him out or even stop him later on? This would be Gassiev all over for him but I feel hed close the show later in with a knockout. The walls are closing in on the current clown show at HW. Wilder, Fury, Ruiz and Joshua wont be relevant for much longer.

I got Wilder by KO in that fight. Wilder wouldn't respect Usyk like he respects Ortiz. Usyk has a long way to go at HW. He was not impressive in his first fight again an ancient, late replacement, c-level fighter.

Wilder beats Usyk by brutal knockout. Usyk doesn't have the power to make Wilder hesitate, and is at a disadvantage in reach and height.

Plus, being a southpaw, Usyk's kryptonite is right hands.

And Wilder was far from impressive against Ortiz who himself has been far from impressive in fights since their original meeting.

His power was though. We know Wilder can be outboxed. The thing is he holds too many physical advantages over Usyk. He's going to hit Usyk at some point, who isn't unhittable, and Usky will go down. Wilder won't be as tentative as he was vs Ortiz, he will be more like against Fury. He'll be throwing and throwing because he won't respect Usyk's power. With all his height and defensive prowess, Fury still got caught and almost lost. As far as making someone miss, you can't do much better than Fury did. Tough fight for Usyk any way you look at it.

Usyk has more ways to win imo than Ortiz, plus I see him varying up his attack and imo he’s got a better boxing IQ.

Usyk will get hit but he is defensively sound, I’ve got every faith in Usyk and he has one thing going for him that Ortiz certainly didn’t and that is his legs and punch output.

It’s an intriguing fight, but one in which Usyk again imo matches up very well in.

OP makes a good point. Wilder is still just technically flawed, but he has a freakin hammer of a punch. That's his only saving grace as a pro. And his size I suppose. You get more leverage and power hitting down than upwards. I certainly would not count Usyk out at all v. Wilder.

If Usyk boxes how he should box and uses plenty of movement Bum Squad will be swiping at thin air all night and falling all over himself like the bumbling uncoordinated buffoon he is.

We're talking about someone who gets outboxed by fighters who can't box for goodness sake lol. It took him 7 rounds to time cement-footed OAP Ortiz with a flush right hand, comparing Usyk's footwork and movement to Ortiz's is like drawing a comparison between Baryshikov and the Statue of Liberty.

It also took him 9 rounds to get glass jaw Szpilka out of there. Bum Squad needs you to stand still to land the big right. Granted Usyk hasn't been using his movement as much as he did when he was with Bashir which has made him easier to hit in some of his fights. However, I very much doubt he'll do that against Bum Squad. Usyk via schooling.

Usyk will make Wilder look like a TOTAL bum. Ortiz made him look like a bum.

Of course the bum could land his right hand again but i doubt it'll be that easy. Usyk footwork > Ortiz footwork. Usyk has best footwork in CW and HW division.

Ortiz was literally standing in front of him with hands low at the end of Round 7. It was a lack of focus/concentration. Without that Ortiz might have won the decision.
