Enjoy a head hunting KNOCKEROUTER while you can..you could always go back to the sleepy Klitscho era and unanimous decision waltzes
Where does this age 50 crap come from .. at most the guys is 42 or so and looks good .. let's not just make things up
Bingo That freaking jab and grab against bums who even the US networks declined because it put people to sleep......but soooooooo much "skill",lol, Heavyweights is knocking your opponent spark out, that what we are here to see.
He left himself right in front of him. The rule in boxing is don't stand in front of a puncher keep moving or move your head.
I did put a ... The hunch is Ortiz 40+ and history suggests as far as good amateur Cubans turning pro, it does come late in life. Like you suggest, I would think Ortiz is at most in his early 40s, but I also would suggest he has had a very hard amateur career, that will add mileage. So kudos to the old man for getting a couple of decent paydays, and after the weekend, probably earning another on the back of a good first six rounds against a top three Heavyweight of the moment.
I wouldn't call him stupid. He got caught. Plenty of reasons it happens. A lapse in concentration, age caught up too him and he may have seen the shot coming, but reflexes wasn't their to do anything about it. Neither fighter looked like anything special before the KO. Neither seemed to understand the basic "slip and counter" or "parrying "part of boxing. Both showed so many bad habits that would've lead to them getting Ko'ed against other era fighters.
Spot on. I watched him nail Ortiz and I thought it was nothing special until I saw the slow motion replay. The torque and impact it generated (watching the sweat literally jet sprayed from Luis' face from the force) was a sight to behold. Wilder does a lot wrong and looks very beatable but it's deceiving. He is always calculating when he's going to detonate that right hand and he has the utmost confidence that he can end any fight with it at any time. He's a legitimate threat at any moment in the fight.
