Not really. Wlad was 27 when he lost to Sanders and 28 when he lost to Brewster. Wlad just started fighting inferior opponents. The heavyweight started to go down hill since the early 2000's. Just look at some of the guys Wlad was fighting title fights again. Ray Austin, Derrick Jefferson, washed up Hasim Rahman, Tony Thompson twice, Francesco Pianeta, Mariusz Wach. It wasn't like Wlad was fighting world class guys with Stewart for the most part. In either case Ortiz is absolutely horrible. When your best wins are against a even older Tony Thompson and Bryant Jennings then you haven't really fought anybody.

Another vote for Wlad. It's fairly obvious that despite having some skills, that Ortiz is not exactly hard to hit and that he may be packing glass in that jaw. Being hittable and stoppable against Wlad is a recipe for failure.
Vlad in his prime starches Ortiz same as Wilder. The difference being Vlad wins every round before doing so. Vlad maybe gives up the first rounds as a feeling out round. Wilder hits hard but so did Vlad. Vlad, could be really tentative but he had tons of power. Wilder might be more powerful with his right hand but I doubt by much.
Wilder's full-body swing might be harder than Wlad's instep short straight, but that's it. Hook and jab aren't even close.
