But isn't 95% of the divisions resume going to be thin? None of em are fighting each other. Joseph Parker, Andy Ruiz, Kownacki, Usyk, Brezeale, Rivas, Joyce.... They all don't have big resumes, but we know they can fight and punch. Having a lackluster resume dones't mean you're a crap or overrated fighter. Vitali's resume isn't the greatest but he's widely considered to be a great fighter. Ortiz is a great fighter, with great abilities, he ain't overrated. EDIT: Usyk resume at Heavyweight, not cruiserweight
No heavyweights resume out there is any better than Wilders. Really, Fury and Joshua's only claim to fame is Klitschko and he was past prime in both fights.
The best at heavyweight of a pretty ordinary lot....before you get to excited just an opinion not the Word of God.!!!!
AJ resume shits on wilder's resume. He has an unbeaten whyte, past prime Klitschko in a classic, unbeaten parker and povetkin. That's a very good resume. Wilder has ortiz twice Fury has a very good klitschko, a prime Wilder and twice chisora. That's quite good to be honest also.
Fun fact: resume includes defeat. Got knocked out by an overweight guy who had lost his only meaningful prior fight.
1. Povetkin failed a PEDs test twice, preventing the Wilder fights. The second time was before the eliminator with Stiverne. 2. Joshua shouldn't have gotten his ass kicked if he wanted the Wilder fight. He still might get it.
Why? A draw against Fury is better than beating Chambers. Beating 2018 Ortiz is better than beating Chagaev Beating 2019 Ortiz is better than beating Perez Beating Stiverne (top 3 in division, champion) is better than beating Takam Duhaupas, Scott, Washington, Szpilka are about as good as the rest of Povetkin's wins.
