How long does it take a top conditioned boxer to completely lose his fitness?

    Well, it took a lot out of me and it shows how much I've regressed when I couldn't do a fraction of what I did earlier this year on a regular basis.

    And this is for general fitness and endorphins etc.

    So would you say that after what Tyson Fury went through, he had completely lost all his conditioning, was actually very unfit and was starting from square one again when he resumed training?

    Yeah but muscle memory would play a role and he’d presumably get fitter a lot quicker than the average non-professional athlete. You could see it in his fights too, he gradually became more and more sharper each fight (Seferi, Pianeta, Wilder).

    Would muscle memory play a part in regaining his stamina or would that be a separate thing?
