Think people miss it but theres a reason no one just walks into range on fury. He can punch hard when he wants to. Was the same with mayweather.

People would have done it by now if otherwise. Even klitchko respected that power.

Wallin's performance against Fury was a bit freaky in my view. Took some punishment in the second half of the fight.

From what we've seen of Wilder though the equaliser is always there. Even when he's tired. Fury could try to maul him, make it ugly, tie him up, tire him out, lean on him whatever and still get KOd I'm the 12th, same if he fights off the backfoot.

Just get in there and knock his block off, take a risk and hope you land the bingo before he does. It's unlikely but I think Fury has it in him.

Fury just needs to do exactly what he done last time, but better. Hopefully with his weight no longer fluctuating and his fitness being maintained, he will be sharper and stronger than ever.

I don't buy him being 'shot'. He looked fantastic against Wilder and blistering against a poor opponent in Tom Schwartz. I think he thought he'd do the same thing to Wallin but met a much tougher man who came to win. Subsequently he had a slow start, got badly cut in the third and had to try and stop Wallin which is not his biggest strength. Wallin showed great toughness to survive and Fury ground out the win in difficult circumstances. That's pretty much all there is to it. People want it to be something else.

My biggest concern for Fury is Davison. I just don't think Fury is listens to him and I think Peter had Tyson boxing smarter. He's more liable to go rogue under Davison and have a tear up.

I believe Wilder will attempt the exact same tactics against Fury as he did against Ortiz. Keep himself fresh, let the opponent get both comfortable and tired, and when the opening comes, try and end it there and then. He'll want to be fresh so that if Fury goes down and gets back up, he can throw the kitchen sink at him.

I'm back and forth with how I think it'll go. My head thinks Fury will win a wide points decision but my heart worries about Wilder's freak power. Is the bronze bomber even more powerful with the extra weight?

Who's to say wallin isn't much tougher than wilder anyway.

Never really seen wilder pressured or hurt barring a round against ortiz the first time.

No one has every really put it on him because he has never fought anyone who can.

Soon as wilder fights someone who comes to fight and not box he's done.

If Wilder faces Joshua or Whyte in the UK, they will be doped to the gills. Get them in NYC, they will get starched. The Fury fight will be anti climatic. Fury is used up mentally. His body has got some age to it. After doing his usual slapping/jitterbug movement around the ring for a few rounds, he will end up getting smashed eventually.

Wilder is a puncher thats it , but a very average boxer, basically a one trick pony.. a fully fit Fury schools him this time, Fury lost a bit of focus for the late KD in the first fight, he wont do that again..

I watched the Wallin fight and i saw fury plant his feet, line up wallin square on throwing huge power shots from his knees, connecting flush as you like on the point of wallins chin, and there was no effect.

I think "Fury can punch hard if hes fighting schwartz or lower opponents" is more apt.

Anyway Wilder showed tge blueprint in the Ortiz fight, hes done swinging wild haymakers from speculative range, he will take it easy for the first half of the fight, let fury tickle with the jab like he always does and wait until he slows down a bit before sending him crashing to the canvas with a straight right.

If he gets up again wilder will be full of energy this time and blast him into oblivion.

Difference is, is Fury is always a moving target and won't get stuck in the pocket and get lazy like old stationary Ortiz did. Yeah, Fury might get caught again but I don't think the same gameplan that Wilder used in the Ortiz fight where he was trying to lower Ortiz's lead hand for virtually 7 rounds before finding his opening, is gonna work against Fury. He'll have to throw more caution to the wind when they meet again and hope that Fury gets too comfortable in there like he did in the first fight.

I had Fury winning the first fight 114-112 and thought he would pull it off along with a few others when most predicted that Wilder would blast him out inside the first half of the fight (how wrong were they!), but he got complacent in the last round and thought he had it won, so he only has himself to blame for that. I feel he wins far more comfortably this time round though, as long as he stays switched on mentally. Wilder, as much as I am a fan of his, is very much a one trick pony and Fury will have learned his mistakes from the first fight.

People go on about how hard wilder can hit....he is a heavy handed guy tbf but hes getting these knockouts with the tactics they employ just as much as the power. People dont factor that in. These opponents are leading on him basically because they have to. The difference against fury is he has to do the leading. Ortiz a good fighter....but he,s been carefully selected from wilders team. They knew he had to lead due to length difference....they also knew he wasnt much good at it.

Fury does to wilder what wilder does to most opponents....fury done the same to klitchko. Make them lead. They just move out of range when the opponent goes forward. Fury done it to wilder the first fight. Klitchko done in to numerous opponents. Wilders done it when hes had to in the latter part of his career discounting a lot of the early guys that werent much good.

Opponent has to lead with lack of length....wilder backs off. Opponent tries it again....backs off. Next time wilder throws a jab. Catches him cause he didnt expect it. Next time he backs off. Opponent would fall short if he throws to early. Backs off next time. Next time opponent frustrated goes in...bang hit with a right hand. Think ortiz was got at when he was pretty static....but he was working his way in a lot...but it takes it out you in the end. Your needing to give away too much with them tactics.

Go back to the fury fight with wilder. Wilder had to lead....because he didnt have the length advantage and fury could outbox him better. When wilder went forward....fury backed off. He done the same thing to wilder, that wilder does to these guys. Wilder fell short. He tried to knock fury out that first round....fury dealt with it without much trouble. Where was wilders incredible power then. Wasnt quite the same because its just as much the tactics as the heavy hands he has.

Fury will just knick rounds without doing much....if wilder tries to do what he did against ortiz being conservative. Fury wont slow down anymore than wilder will.

Wilders a good fighter but hes hand picking opponents. Povetkin will give him trouble because povetkin is good at getting inside. Not many other guys with a reach disadvantage will tho. They need to go for it from the first round and try take him out. Guys like joshus and fury....he,ll struggle against without the reach advantage. People writing joshua off in that fight....even if ruiz beats him again. Hes less chance than fury....but hes got a chance. He wont need to play into wilders hands like almost every opponent they,ve picked for wilder barring fury. Who they picked cause they thought he was finished.

Look plain and simple Wilder has done better in his 2 rematches so far.

Stiverne 2 knocked him sparko in seconds

Ortiz 2 simply waited patiently and knocked him sparko as sokn as the chance arose

He found Furys chin twice in the first fight and he will do better in the rematch

You are right Fury will do what he always does, he cant do anything else. My point is Wilder wont gas himself out throwing wasteful huge rights, he didnt vs ortiz.

Wilder was gassed by the 8th vs Fury but also was timing him better by then. I dont think Fury can do any better than he did last time where I think Wilder can pace himself better, throw more jabs (he jabbed quite well with fury) and less huge right hands.

Furys legs are gone, if he had the legs from the klitschko fight id give him more of a chance, but he cant go 12 without taking the right hand without them, and as long as wilder just paces himself a bit better, this time he will finish fury when he lands.

And heres the thing, if you want me to get serious on Wilders flaws, he cant fight backing up and he cant fight inside.

Prime Lennox Lewis would absoloutley destroy wilder, as would Vitali Klitschko, Mike Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe.

Of the current crop, ruiz has a good shout, if Joshua can regain some sort of form he would have half a chance, Parker would be live if he came in motivated (not likely for him) maybe Hrgovic and Dubois also.

The man is VERY beatable but you need to be able to close space quickly and with defensive awareness, and you need to be able to do REAL damage up close. Nobody on Wilders record has those abilities but if you rewatch the Szpilka fight and imagine Szpilka was any sort of puncher you see my point.

Fury cant do the damage up close, he will hit you with a cheeky shot up close here and there, might make you think for a second but he cant clean you out with a brutal combination there.

The lack of that ability costs him the fight.

    In my opinion.

Very good point that about the Wilder rematches.
