Exactly. Do you think Mitchell is a better fighter than Usyk? You're going to see a schooling if this fight ever happens man. We're never going to agree here so no point in going in circles. Although if it does happen we should cook up a nice bet for it. Talking 6 months+ AV etc.

Trying to figure out ur point of saying Szpilka was KO'ed sooner with Chisora and Kownacki. Are u saying they hit harder than Wilder? Or trying to discredit Wilder to say this is why Usyk beats him?

Just to point out that Usyk taking almost 7 rounds to stop Witherspoon has little to no bearing on this fight.

It’s the only thing we have to judge Usyk as a heavyweight.

50year old Ortiz won't have nearly the same durability or defensive reflexes as Oleksandr Uysk.

Uysk takes him apart and it's probably not competitive at all.

The Fury rematch is no bueno either. Target Joshua.

    But isnt it somewhat irrelevant?

Power and stoppages dont play a major role in Usyks method of victory.

Unlike Wilder, where citing what round he takes to stop someone is more relevant to his future fights due to it not only being his only method of victory, but in some cases it being utterly needed to bail him out of a close fight or a probable loss.

So I can see why Wilders stoppages and what round he did them is a more noteworthy stat to look at than Usyks.

If Usyk takes 3, 4, 7 to stop someone, or wins a UD. Its not that big of a deal imo...

    Just imo.

Wilder would have a punchers chance but I'd probably take Usyk by UD. For one thing, I don't think Wilder is very good on the inside. His knockouts / knockdowns come from mid-to-long range. If Usyk gets inside on Wilder, I think he's going to be lost. Also, Ortiz's lateral movement gave Wilder fits, I can only imagine a guy with even better footwork in Usyk would do to Wilder. Lastly, I think Usyk's stamina is very good and he won't gas out like Ortiz did to where Wilder can find the distance to bomb out Usyk.

Still, it's a fascinating fight because Wilder does have the eraser. Whether he can land it or not is the question.

Wilder vs Usyk is the fight I want most in all of boxing right now I think.

A clashing of two opposite dynamics... pure power vs skills. So many questions as to what would happen. Can Wilder manage to measure Usyk at some point and land something? Can Usyk actually absorb it if Wilder does land? (Imo thats not out of the realm of possibility) A heavyweight champion against one of the greatest cruisers of all time.
    What an awesome fight.

and with Usyks fans being many and vocal on here, would see him climb to unprecedented heights of popularity (on esb) by beating the most hated fighter in recent times, or would see an epic humiliating crashing of hype. So the matchup aside... it even has added excitement.

Completely sucks that it is almost certainly not going to happen for a long time, if ever.

    Boxing, smh.

An amazing matchup imo. We get to see Usyk walk a tightrope and Wilder sniping entire fight.

I hope it happens soon. Wilder is 34, he could start slipping hard at any point now.

Definitely down for something like that. We'll discuss privately should the fight get booked.

Not necessarily what round he stopped him but whether he has the strength, power and physical presence to deal with real heavyweights.

If the idea is he’s such a good boxer and so slick that someone like Wilder cannot lay a glove on him in 12 rounds, he better look like prime Sweet Pea Whitaker or Willie Pep against a Chazz Whatsispoon. And to keep the big boys at bay he better be able to get their respect.
