Guess what though? Life isn’t fair He messed up by talking about his boss but worst of all, he got beat by a major underdog which sealed his fate. Why should GBP invest in him? Cancio doesnt have star potential and Gbp knew he isnt marketable so the loss only confirmed it. And Is it really a mystery as to why Ryan Garcia gets to get away with things that Cancio couldnt? Garcia is young, handsome, and has major star potential. All the qualities that Cancio dont have. It’s that simple. Some of you are getting way too emotional about this. Be logical. This is dog eat dog world and boxing is a cruel business. It’s strictly business and Cancio isnt worth anything to GBP so they gave him the boot. I dont see a problem
I’m looking at it from a business point of view . I’m a boss and know employees can be ungrateful or overestimate their worth! So if golden boy was holding his career up then he should be happy not cry like a little wuss! Now he can go get the venues snd money he commands lol
Very impressed by the principled stand Golden Boy have taken here. Of course as a principled and honourable company they will now be releasing Canelo and Ryan Garcia who have made far more critical comments than the mild statements Cancio made. I'm sure Robert Diaz will be announcing this any moment now. Of course in the unlikely event that they don't, we'll know this is nothing about the critical comments and Golden Boy are in fact using this as a way of getting out of a contract they signed but which is no longer convenient.
Weird. Just heard him being interviewed by Steve Kim on the 3 Knockdown Rule and thought he was a stand up guy. That’s a shame...
I gotta say these guys whine like bitches sometimes, man the **** up fellas life is harsh and unforgiving. The dude lost a fight he should have won badly and he talked smack about his boss after that. What were they gonna do, cave into his demands? Hardly.
tbf. d*ck move by GBP but talking crap about your promoter deserves repercussions. deal with it like a man and a business. not on social media/press. both as bad as each other in that respect
