    Good for golden boy!!

He could have taken up with them but he never brought this matter up to him.

    I stead he went diva!!!

Dude you had retired and golden boy got you a straight title shot that others probably deserved!!!

He has you as the main event on Dazn snd you are complaining??!

GOOD MOVE FOR OSCAR!!! Set the precedence! Talk to your promoter man to man before you go diva

Slot of fighters are taking this media snd social media thing way out of hand!

    :duh
Cancio was dumb to say the things he did.
But you know who else talked **** about Oscar? Ryan Garcia.

GBP should have sat down with Cancio. They should have tried to work things out or at least see what is really going on.
I am not blaming GBP for releasing Cancio, but I am irritated about the way they did it.

**** Oscar and **** GBP. They are only still relevant because of Cinnamon-Boi.

Ryan Garcia makes money and wins fights he's supposed to at this point, Cancio just lost to a big underdog and then started bitching abour his bosses. He can eat his words tbh.

Cancio supposedly is a draw and has proven himself quite capable. What´s the point of cutting him loose?
Half of GBP stable is the likes of Cancio. Only they haven´t opened their mouths.

GBP is in the wrong here. Not because they cut Cancio, but the way they did it. Their fighter had issues, and instead of dealing with those, they cut ties.
In MMA, Dana White is notorious for his issues with numerous athletes. ****ing Mark Hunt sued him and the UFC, but they still worked together and Mark Hunt got to fight. Mark Hunt wanted his last fight with the UFC to be on his home turf and he got it. This while the lawsuit was still ongoing.

"Too many fighters have been talking **** so we finally took a stand."(Paraphrasing here a bit) **** off! You got offended and instead of dealing with the issue,(why is that so many in your stable express their grievances publicly?), you chose to ignore it.

I just don´t see how anyone can take GBP side on this.

To paraphrase someone I don't know, chat **** get banged. I don't think they're beholden to someone if they feel it isn't worth it. That's business. Otherwise you're just forcing people to take on fighters who don't make it worth their while and they lose money. I like my businesses to be sustainable and with all of the flak GBP have been taking I get why they'd want to set a precedent that stops it. I virulently dislike DLH and GBP but that's the cold hard truth.

What? The **** you talking about? GBP loosing money on Cancio? (Cancio actually draws good crowds at Fantasy Springs)
I am not talking about GBP succumbing to Cancio´s demands or anything. To overpay for him. I am talking about the issues GBP have with fighters going public with their grievances. Instead they cut ties and keep going the way they have been.
GBP should have tried to work things out or at least see what the real issue was.

All they did was set the precedent that now fighters know they can´t complain unless they are stars. It´s bad business not to take care of your fighters. GBP just cut ties with someone who can sell tickets.

But you just said it yourself... Half of GBP stable is the likes of Cancio. But they are happy with what they're getting, or at least they are quiet and polite about it. So, what's the point for the promoter to keep one specific guy with issues, if there is a ton of similar fighters already signed or easily available elsewhere? Cancio wanted to be on the Canelo undercard, but so many good and hard-working fighters will be happy to take Cancio's place and fight in that (small) arena for the money Cancio was paid.

The point is that GBP has some issues to deal with and they are reluctant to do so. Instead of working things out or seemingly at least attempt to, they just cut ties.
Doesn’t really inspire confidence in the company. Especially the way they handled Cancio.

They were able to negotiate with Garcia and keep him, Canelo doesn't want to leave them immediately anymore. But you're not very confident in the company because they let Cancio go... They "make" Cancios! GBP will find another "Cancio", clean the dust off of him, move him up the rankings and get him a fight for a vacant title...

P.S. And I will be glad if Cancio proves me wrong. If he signs with another promoter and continues winning fights.

I always thought going full diva is a GBP requirement?

He wanted to be on a Canelo undercard or something or more money. It always comes down to money. Cancio may be a decent draw but not a huge one. They can afford to cut him pretty easily, he's not big enough to try to cajole more cash out of them by complaining.

Business isn't your thing, clearly. Maybe you can work for a Charity organization... however, even they have expectations and quotas.

How isn’t "business my thing" based on what I said?
What did I state to make so say so?
