There have been so many by Spud that gross incompetence is excluded as an explanation

One of the worse I have heard about was Hardy/Belcastro in Italy; one had it fours rounds each, with four drawn rounds, one had it to Belcastro by five rounds to two, the other gave it to the Italian by two rounds to none...

And staying in Europe, Akinwande was robbed of a win in the first Schultz fight. He won by at least four rounds...

Never mind the biased referees or Matchroom judges. Even before an opponent enters the ring the outcome is decided. The British Boxing Board and UKAD are as corrupt as anything else, and have allowed drug cheats to enter the ring when they should be banned. PEDS are the great equalizer, that has allowed British Boxing to rise from generations of mediocrity.

You still have to have the work ethic even if you choose to take PEDs. It is easier to have officials on your side.

These statistics are interesting as it does not appear to be the same offenders week in week out so if it is corrupt there are a lot of people in on the job. What they are showing so far is that judging heavily favours the home fighter (unless your second name is Fury) and that IJL does get it right sometimes with a good card for Willams v Parker but also horribly wrong giving Davies the decision (Bricked it from MTK). Foster, Alexander and Quatarone appear to favour Matchroom fighters.

Favouring the home fighter could mean being influenced by the crowd and fighters entourage or it could also include influence by the promoter making the work attractive in the way of 'extras' (good hotel, 1st class flights, unlimited expenses etc). Repeatedly going against the home fighter would mean no return of service for the judge. As most fights end in TKO or are mismatches anyway it's hard to get a full picture but it is quite often the case the home fighter is up on the cards at the time of an unexpected stoppage. I am all for showing the scorecards live after each round it will add a lot to the atmosphere and quality of fights, at least the boxer will know if he is getting jobbed and can then go for the KO or if the fight is still close going to the final rounds.

    Nice companion article below:

Benn v Peynaud I. Benn got knocked down and mathematically on any reasonable scorer’s card Peynaud won as a result as it was a six rounder. Was an absolutely shocking decision.

I can't stand Benn, but I scored that fight a draw. The maths behind it was
    R1 - 10-7 Peynaud (Benn down twice)
    R2 - 10-9 Peynaud
    R3 - 10-9 Peynaud
    R4 - 10-9 Benn
    R5 - 10-8 Benn (Peynaud down)
    R6 - 10-8 Benn (Peynaud down)
    55-55

The biggest robbery is yet to come for the British public in a boxthing ring being the £24.99 PPV charge to watch Tony Dosh PPV v Rice Pudding Ruiz Jnr

I think we're banding the term 'robbery' around a little too lightly here.

No way was wilder v fury a 'robbery"
I had fury by a pt, so I only had to give one of the rds I scored to him a draw to come to the decision on the night. I wanted fury to win, so I can't come to the conclusion he was robbed.
Robbery is supposed to donate that a said fighters scorecard was out by a lot of rds.
Rds that were obviously won by the said fighter but we're given to his oppononent when there's not an inkling of favour to say his opponent won the rd.
It's not supposed to mean a close rd won by the opponent but you don't agree.

Cox vs sai is a good example of a robbery on British soil. Jeez, even the home crowd were going nuts that the away fighter didn't get it.

Fury vs Mcdeemott is one of the worst ones I can remember. I actually liked Fury back then and i remember in the last round thinking "ok hes going to have to learn and come back from this" then his hand got raised and i was wide eyes.

I struggled to find more than a couple of rounds to give Froch vs Dirrell

Hatton was imho saved by the ref vs Juan Laszcano

Top 3 highest profile ones for me.

I thought that Burns, in Glasgow, getting the nod over Beltran, was a disgrace. I think even the home crowd booed off memory.

Edit - Schoolboy error, this has already been mentioned earlier. That'll teach me not to read a thread 1st.
