Loads of these new members are trolls, I've clocked 2 or 3 already that are definitely alt accounts of d**k head posters on here
Place is gone to the dogs. Rational debate is gone forever. The lunacy of the general forum has infiltrated the brit forum forever. We had a good run but it's well and truly over.
Admin should make one of us lot an admin member so we can police this side of it and bin off any obvious trolling/alts.
General was always nuts. I enjoyed it as a stupid teenager myself but can only handle it now in very small doses. Brit forum was excellent up until about two years ago. Rational, educated debate. Minimal trolling. I get sucked into a lot of crap myself these days but it's merely out of frustration at the troll pollution ruining a once great forum.
Totally. I can handle a difference of opinion. That creates healthy debate. Jurgen for example I disagree with a lot but I know he's a boxing fanatic so I respect his opinion. I couldn't disagree with Hayers and more than I do but he'd be fine if he didn't keep repeating the same thing day after day. The likes of that should get a warning because it's tedious. Aydamn is bat **** crazy but at least he presents consistent admiration for a fighter. As for notjustacasual and all the other alts, there should be zero tolerance. Life ban, goodluck. I don't know who moderates the forum but I know I could clean it up in a few days and bring back rational debate. I'd do it fairly too. My only agenda on this forum is rational debate.
But @Twentyman gets my no.1 vote for moderating the brit forum. He has a cooler head than me and is the fairest poster on the forum by a mile. Respectful to all.
So you can get rid of anyone who doesnt fanboy Fury/Warren you mean. See thats the real problem with this forum and i have been here on and off since 08 Theres two sides these days Fury/warren side and matchroom side Fury/warren side consider themselves "hardcores" they are snobby, moan about ppv, casuals, matchroom etc Matchroom side get sick of it, the conversations go in circles and eventually one becomes tired of it. Its like the left/right political debate, and the Warren/Fury side becoming this forums version of the liberal thought police and banning people they dont like because they dont hate matchroom and worship warren isnt the way to go. By the way this has always existed on here back when you had the likes of Flea Man and others who were the old "hardcore" group and used to run new members off the site for crimes such as liking David Haye. Actually Haye himself along with Steve Bunce and several other "names" in uk boxing used to post on here, Bunce even used to shout posters out on his podcast, they were also run off the site by "hardcores" who celebrated it like it was a great victory. The EXACT same thing would happen now if someone like Hearn decided to post on here. Fury fanboys would chase him off. The Fury/Warren fanboys have a wreckless disregard for facts and claim a false moral high ground whuch is why I LOVE winding them up. Hattonmad is an example, has the cheek to say he just wants rational devate when he is CLEARLY a fanboy who wants to shut down dissenting voices. Forums like this all presumably run on similar software. It should presumably be a doddle to link users by IP to confirm who’s an alt. I’m not sure I buy into the line that this is a one sided issue though. Hattonmad clearly says things that are way OTT in his Fury fetish, and there’s a bloke who talks about me all the time whilst ranting about gays. It’s hardly intellectual.
Anyone with even basic knowledge of computers can flush and generate a brand new IP address in literally 10 seconds. A lot of people also use a VPN, theres no way to know if someone is an alt unless they use a static IP which isnt common. As for the rest its really not a one sided issue. That said id never go crying for fury fanboys to be banned, thats pathetic school yard tattle tale level.
