Maybe Whyte learned his lesson, and will hire a proper professional to monitor his PED cycles. In modern boxing those people are among the most valuable in a training camp.

Turns out he's allowed to fight while waiting for the verdict.
At least he doesn't get a titleshot while waiting for the possible doping ban, and he's fighting another 2 time busted juicer, but I think it still is ridiculous.

Stupid move having a fight IMO. once he gets busted for drugs they’ll then implement the ban from that moment as opposed to saying “you’ve served 6 months already”

If he does get banned it may end his career anyway given his previous.

I think people are missing the point here, this is nothing more than exhibition bout as it's not governed by a recognised commission. Hearnz and Whyte are pretending it's 'business as usual' but it's a sham fight in fact i'll go as far to say that the whole event is a joke.

Probably means AJ will be given leniency by the commission if any suspect findings show up on his tests, may as well be governed the BBBofC

Just seen that thread due to the link. I don’t even look at the general. That thread though, power is just one facet of a punch @Aydamn . There’s speed, timing, how they set themselves when they throw their signature shot, the geography of where they need to be and where their opponent needs to be to deliver that shot etc etc.

Whyte throws a counter short left hook. He needs his opponent to commit in the pocket to time his own. He therefore has to invite that pressure to create that opportunity. His opponents are only too aware of it and a skilful fighter could negate that with his footwork. It is a sweet shot when it lands though with legitimate power. So my point is, Whyte requires a certain set of conditions to deliver his shot.

Wilder on the other hand, throws a long right hook and/or a straight right from the outside or mid range like the recent Ortiz KO. The geography doesn’t really matter to him, he can take a step back and throw his shot. He Instinctively knows when an opening is about to occur and sets himself to throw. His speed, accuracy, timing and delivery is just second to none in that weight class...bear in mind, he’s 2-3 stone lighter than many heavyweights, it’s these attributes that get him the showreel KO’s.

This is why I believe Wilder starches Whyte. He doesn’t need to get onto the inside where Whyte can KO him with a short hook. He can land big on him from a few feet away.
