    Basically a year anyway.

    And I miss them.

Say what you like but nobody does big fight coverage like HBO. the production quality, the class.

Showtime always had a whiff of "The B Team" to them, and these streaming platforms, i mean you talk about bargain basement.

Im surprised that none of these platforms snapped up the HBO broadcast team tbh.

    Did you like HBO?

Been a boxing fan for nearly 40 years now, I don't miss HBO in the least.

Personally, I just as well have been listening to the WWE commentators and their fictitious agenda driven commentary whenever I tuned in
    to HBO.
Give me Showtime or DAZN anytime and anywhere.
They all have some bias, but to me their commentary is more genuine and much less agenda driven.

HBO's Legendary Nights was an amazing series of documentaries. Barerra-Kennedy so long ago, but what a way to make an entrance. True enough they eventually became overly biased for their own fighters, but HBO BAD for me will be missed.

I miss the chemistry between Jim Lampley, Larry Merchant, Roy Jones or George Foreman and finally Harold Ledermen. They had some of the best back and forth.

Boxing is on its deathbed in the States. HBO knew when to get out. Showtime won't be too much longer themselves.

SHO is going down the toiled due to Espinoza.

But how exactly is boxing in such perils in the states? Care to elaborate on your statement?

Definitely miss them. Their departure definitely hurt the sport.

Yea it was an end of an era.

The PBC/DAZN guys just don't have it yet or maybe ever.

We all miss them. Boxing also seems better off without them.

HBO totally missed the boat on the streaming game and was giving an avenue to separate boxers from fighting.

I am happy HBO is gone. They had a toxic effect on boxing in the last couple years.

Lampley, Merchant, and Foreman (and Letterman) were the voice of boxing if you ask me. HBO wasn't at it's beast at the end, but the production was way ahead of Showtime, DAZN or PBC.

it is a fringe sport here. the masses don't even know it still exists.
