Who are the most hated boxers of all time?

Its gotta be Floyd Mayweather for sure. Anthony Mundine is also extremely hated but he is not that well known.

Anyway, I'll bite. The boxer that was most hated during his time is probably Jack Johnson.

 

He's my least favourite historical fighter

 

Yeah, he's the guy who, in my opinion, really kicked off the hit n hold styles of boxing. Effective, but boring AF to watch.

 

Yeah, so I don't watch much of him.
It's his attitude though why I don't like him, he's an arrogant **** and the way he treated former and opponents and sparring partners makes me dislike him even more.

Different times back then. Westling had a lot more to do with boxing then. But he perfected it. Only problem was that he limited his own offence as well.
But watching him hold complete control over his opponents is something to behold. He was something special.

What makes modern clinch fighting so **** is that referees immediately break a clinch. Completely ruins the flow of the fight.

 

I agree his clinch fighting was something special. He really broke guys down.

I disagree that its fun to watch. If clinching is going to be allowed then I want Muay Thai style knees to the ribs and elbows as well

 

I know he was arrogant but I thought he'd played that up to stir up the race angle and sell fights. I didn't know that he was genuinely a ****.
