Ray Leonard the best. He can foresee a lot of what fighters are planning. When he commentated JCC vs Rosario several times he would identify what JCC may do...t "Now watch Julio spend of the ropes, when he gets his man where he wants...(seconds later) he hollerd "That's it, told ya!" Mike Tyson. Never went overboard, knew when to talk & when to let the action go with no commentary Shannon Briggs, the few times I heard him, really was on point. Worst Love Big George Foreman, but he was wrong almost always. And down in out last round where a fighter is getting his arse handed & George is still saying "...but all it takes is one shot" To which Larry Merchant comes in and corrects or checks him. Lennox Lewis- doesn't over talk, just doesn't make much sense. Roy Jones-kinda love/hate here. He is a very good commentator, but at times he just loves to compare his fights.
Leonard is boring. Big George was always enthusiastic with it, love it.. same with RJJ Bradley is okay enough, Mora as well.
He really makes me question if he ever boxed. And at times it´s so bad that I question my own boxing knowledge, because Lennox was a champ after all, allegedly.
Paulie was really great his first few years but now you get a sense of the ego. George, Lennox, and especially Leonard... bad. Worse than Roy, who was 50/50 very good/pretty annoying. Once again, you can hear and feel the ego. I'm also the kind of guy that hates most things. So even with a commentator I like, it is really just that I dislike them less.

Yeah he saw Alfred Angulo tiring. I didn't think so knowing many a fight where 1st round is a doozy, then they settle in & catch that 2nd wind. Roy said Alfred better not punch himself out. 30+ punches later Kirkland drops Angulo.
Why so much hate for big George? He’s not so bad. For me, Lampley is sometimes ok but sometimes a little too biased for my taste.
Big George is cool, he's just an awful commentator to me. I lost count how many times a fighter is getting pasted and wasted, then George hollars out "...Yea, but all it takes is one shot." Merchant: "...but George...you've been saying that for 10 rounds now!" Best Foreman moment was final round Jones vs Ruiz, Lamply & Merchant joking they will be glad if they no longer see Norman Stone again, and Ruiz holds a belt, but Jones exposed a real paper champion Pissed George off! Foreman: "..Don't say that don't be hypocrites, you helped promote the fight now you want to tear it all down!!!"
