George was wrong/off quite often for example Hopkins Vs Trinidad. But he was also HILARIOUS. "Look at those big shoulders" "All it takes is one shot" "These guys are big for middleweights!" -"George, they're light heavyweights"
That Sergio mora from Dazn is pretty on point! Sees **** others don’t! Was giving Ruiz mad props in the first rounds!
The best for me is Paulie M. The worse is big head Bradley. Roy was real cool at first until he got turned by lying Lampley. Honorable mention for best is Andre Ward.
All the former boxers who became commentators are better than Max Kellerman. Antonio Tarver, Timothy Bradley and Sergio Mora are all very good.
Lennox Lewis was simply the worst. Atrocious. Lennox: “That right hand hurt him Jim”. Jim Lampley: “ Yeah I got that when he fell and didn’t move, thanks Lennox”
Best: George Foreman was the best. Most entertaining boxer turned commentator. Worst: Roy Jones. Couldn't put self promotion aside long enough to actually comment on the fight. He's a good talker, but he was annoying as a fight commentator.
for right now i really like andre ward. i used to like bradley but i feel like he has gotten worse lennox lewis i think is ok in spots, kind of like it when he calls heavyweight fights but thats kind of it not too big on leonard but not sure id crown him as the worst. cant say i really hate any former fighter announcers
Andy Lee was really good until he got the Sky tap on the shoulder in the Callum Mundane Smith-Ryder match and started commentating through Sky/matchroom tinted spectacles. My favourite by a long way is Paulie M.
the best, Matthew Macklin and Andy Lee for me, even when I don't agree them. The worst in no particular order Max Kellerman, Lennox Lewis, Andre Ward, Tim Bradley, Carl Froch, Ray Leonard and who can forget, Jim Watt. Kellerman wasn't a pro boxer but I have to include him just because how bad he is. The three way ahem session he has with Andre Ward and Tim Bradley during live broadcasts he should save for when the cameras are not rolling.
