the problem is no one cared about this guy, even if he was a challenge tougher than expected, most people wanted to see the Wilder rematch. If that couldnt happened through no fault of his own then he should at least have taken on a top 5 to 10 opponent. the fight left a nasty taste to me, as soon as it was announced, no interest, no point.

If people wanted to see the immediate rematch then Wilder shouldn’t have went silent for about a month when he clearly said the second fight would be in the U.K .

But besides that who cares . They are contracted to fight THREE times so ???????? Aren’t they fighting next . And isn’t Wilder the champion who should be under scrutiny in hand picking fights ? He’s the defending champion right ?

The truth is none of us know what went on behind the scenes after the Wilder fight. There are a lot of politics, wheeling and dealing going on. Fury's team probably wanted some more time to tune him up, but Fury took the first fight against everyone's advice, his father wouldn't speak to him during the camp, so hard to say what Fury wanted. The deal with ESPN also changed things. Wilder's team had reasons not to want the rematch then too, but Wilder may have wanted it, who knows. Nobody knows what really happened, it's much more complicated than Canelo clearly ducking GGG for extended periods.

But if Fury fights Wilder again next year, all the accusations of him being a coward, ducker etc. over the last year are going to look pretty ******ed. Especially since Wilder has just one-punch flattened two more people since the Fury fight.

The coward accusations are quite strange. Love him or hate him, his style, his Christmas single, his eye-gouging dad, this is a guy that signed to fight Haye twice, fought Wlad in Germany and Wilder in the USA. Probably the most dangerous punchers in recent times right there, and Fury was prepared to fight them while having a noticeable power disadvantage. The Haye fight was after Haye had KO'd Chisora and Fury had been KD'd by Cunningham, btw. And as mentioned, everybody warned him against fighting Wilder at that point and he still did it.

He doesn't have championship spirit?! Did you even watch the 12th round of the Wilder fight?! A fight he took after a near 3 year drink & drugs bender to stave off suicidal thoughts.. Dummy.. the guy fought two reigning champions on their home turf.. Fury should have every single major organisational belt in his trophy cabinet.. if that's not championship material then I don't know what is.. & he beat Wallin with a bad cut.. cuts affect your vision.. he bit down & coped.. thats HW boxing.. you must be a newbie to it.. thanks for sharing your poor insight & limited experience with us though.. stick at it.. I'm sure one day you'll be as successful as Fury in your chosen field.. 'almost knocked out'

Watched a good bit of the fight again, a very good scrap. By rounds 7-11, Fury's output & connect rate doubled Wallin's. After a 2nd view, the blood flowing made it appear a bit closer.

Its just an attention seeking post.... and a poor one ;)

Win or lose vs wilder (i predict a schooling by Fury) his heart is unquestionable.

My joint favorite combined with Ruiz at the moment.

Wallin needs to try WWE, I can see him walking on to that Vikings theme with a big old axe and shield to ragdoll Fury at the next rumble.
