WISH THERE WAS. I would love to lose 105 pds. Without telling scores you can tell when someone is missing what is happening in a fight. You would see this if you were not currently balinded by yr intemperate love of tiny men.

I can sit outside under the stars any time of year and crank Gilmores mind altering guitar and drift away. IT ACTUALLY IS EVEN BETTER IN ABOUT A 43 ° NIGHT. LIGHT A FIRE OUT BETWEEN THE BARN & THE HOUSE AND GET "COMFORTABLY NUMB". JUST RIDE THE WAVES BOYS! JUST RIDE THE WAVES.

I am beginning to believe you are a party pooping Frank Burns type. I though we were all basically friends, but I guess not ferretface.

    Rolando Navarette v Chung-Il Choi

    1 9-10
    2 10-9
    3 9-10
    4 9-10
    5 8-10
    6 9-10
    7 10-9
    8 10-9
    9 10-9
    10 10-8
    (94-94)
    11 TKO

Tough first defense for Navarette. Choi came to take his title and looked for a while like he might. He was busier over the first 6 rounds and was outlanding Rolando significantly early on, but from about the 7th his punch output decreased and he didn't seem to have the same snap on his punches as before. Navarette was taking the shots better too and landed more of his own and by the 9th, the tide had fully turned. As soon as Choi went down in the 10th, he was never coming back. Tough, unforgiving fight for both men.

Rolando Navarrete vs Chang II Choi (January 16, 1982) (15 Rounds for the WBC Super Featherweight Title)

Round 1: 10-9 Choi (Blistering pace to start the match, Navarrete slips & dips well but gets tagged by much of Choi's all out onslaught. Rolando counters well to the body including some good uppercuts to the solar plexus that looked to have slowed Chang down a bit. Easily Choi's round though)

Round 2: 10-9 Navarrete (Rolando gets his southpaw left going, incredibly accurate round for him. Countering with the straight left & right hook at will with uppercuts to the body when Choi tries to come inside. Almost all Navarrete's work looked to have a impact on Chang who has knocked back numerous times in the round)

Round 3: 10-9 Choi (Chang caught Navarrete off-balance and staggered him with a hard overhand right to open the round. The middle was fairly even with Choi finishing better to take the round)

Round 4: 10-9 Choi (Close round. Navarrete got his straight left going again, and that counter uppercut to the body. But Chang hang in tough, landed his overhand well and finished stronger to just edge the round)

Round 5: 10-8 Choi (Fun round! Until the knockdown this was a difficult one. Choi was hurting Navarrete almost at will, but Rolando was staggering Choi as well, and countering awesome with fantastic bodywork. It was back & forth until Chang stunned him with a right freezing Navarrete in his tracks unloading on him until Rolando finally crumbles down to the mat. But Choi had to lean over the neutral corner buckle to recoup himself.

Round 6: 10-9 Choi (Navarrete's lack of activity is costing him this fight as of right now. He's just flat being outworked)

Round 7: 10-9 Navarrete (Choi appeared to take the 7th round off, Rolando did enough to take the rest round but he didn't capitalize on the resting Choi near enough to get back into the fight)

Round 8: 10-10 (The pace of the fight appeared to slow way down for the first half of the round, then both men exploded. Navarrete got the best of it for most of the second half of the round, but he was the one in trouble at the bell. Calling it even, but wouldn't argue if anyone scored the round for either man)

Round 9: 10-9 Navarrete (His best round by far since the 2nd round)

Round 10: 10-8 Navarrete (Out of nowhere! Choi had Navarrete hurt badly and about to taste canvas again, when Rolando unleashed a desperation combination that put Chang flat on his back! Choi beats the count and Rolando tries to finish him but gets hurt and almost dropped again at the bell the ref was holding Navarrete up)

Round 11: KO (Both men spent Choi clinging to a small lead goes on the attack to finish the champion. He manages to stagger Rolando again, but swinging wildly he gets countered with Navarrete's body attack that takes most of what Choi has left out of him. The champion moves in for the kill and send the challenger to the canvas for the 10 count.

    My Score: (95-94 Choi) ATOS

Official Scores: (99-96 Navarrete) (97-94 Choi) (95-95 Even)
Winner: By 11th round Knockout to retain the WBC Super Featherweight Championship of the World, Rolando Navarrete.

At work so didn't have time for a detailed round breakdown. This is a classic fight that made Nelson a star in the US. He fought with tremendous heart, but the experience of Sanchez was just too much to overcome this early in The Professor's career.

Crazy slug-fest, Fletcher's corner had the perfect strategy and The Animal followed it to a tee. Awesome brawl!
