How well would Conor Mcgregor have done if he dedicated his life to boxing?

Conor fought Mayweather in his pro boxing debut. He did better than lots of Floyd's previous opponents, and lasted 10 whole rounds.

Imagine if he never did mma and stuck to boxing since he was 12. Would he be a champion? multi division champion? All time great?

Mayweather carried him, it was an exhibition bout. Total farce. McGregor could've been a good boxer though, nothing that special.

Not very well. He doesnt have the temprement for it.

He is basically a lowlife chav drunk who thinks violence and mouthing off is the answer to everything.

If he wasnt a fighter he would probably be changing the brake pads on a Volkswagen Golf in Ireland somewhere as a back street mechanic.....

    Lmao!

He'd be mediocre at best; and he isnt even that good of an MMA fighter. Dana booked him well and built a hype job off Mayweather's, excuse me McGregors personality.

Well, you never know, do ya?
Clearly had the talent for it, but no one can say for certain.
We have seen plenty of average Joe´s climb to the mountain top, while exceptional athletes fail miserably.

 How isn´t he that good at MMA?
Dude won 2 UFC belts. And he beat some of their top contenders. Or does everyone at UFC just suck?
That´s like saying Cotto wasn´t that good at boxing.

Eh I'm Irish and I doubt he'd be that good. Never excelled as an amateur. Don't think a sport as restrictive in its rules like boxing was for him.

Never ran it back with Aldo. For obvious reasons.

    And Eddie Alvarez. Eddie Alvarez.

I think he'd do fine, he'd be one of the top guys in his era. He put a whooping on Floyd for 4 rounds, and I don't care if Floyd was past it or not, no debut boxer ought to be able to do that to an ATG.

Sugar ''Money'' Mac beat Aldo, Max Holloway, Dustin Poirier, Nate Diaz, Eddie Alvarez, and Chad Mendes and even though he's a POS he fought the undefeated and beastly with a capital B Khabib after a two-year layoff who was the worst possible style match up for him out there and he made his pro boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather for goodness sake. Love him or loathe him, that's impressive.

Sugar ''Money'' Mac did better against Floyd than Clenelo Alvaroids did.

If McGregor hadn't blown his tank, Floyd might have been in traction after that.

    Thats a big over statement.

He is a good MMA fighter, but not a great one. He has quite a high level of substance to him. You dont get in the UFC if you are not highly skilled.

I believe with his great timing and striking skills (with his hands) he could have gone pretty much as far as he could with MMA, or just below.

A high enough level, but never near the elite category.

And to think people think Conor did well vs Mayweather. He was carried and Rope a doped.

Floyd could have easily pot shotted him for 12 rounds, but i was floyds choice to make it a brawl. Not conors.

If Pac man couldn't make Floyd brawl, you think Conor could?
