The quality of his inside work was not mentioned. You said it didn't exist. I proved that statement to be incorrect.
The questioning of Marciano's competition is ludicrous Walcott put up one of the best performances of his life and was clearly prime even by his own admission for the first fight Moore was either prime or nearso and on like a 50-1 streak coming into the fight, he would go on to be the LHW champ for the next 7 years, he knocked out multiple ranked contenders weighing 200+lbs to get to his fight with Marciano Charles, after becoming wish washy with his conditioning after Walcott 3, finally made a revitalized effort after his fight against Satterfield to become champ again. The papers and news reports called Charles a new beast, fast and accurate and not the man who was beaten bad by Walcott. He was very near his best. Rex Layne has an unquestionable resume and win streak coming into the Marciano fight. Marciano absolutely crushed him. LaStarza looks good on film and avenged all his losses and had beaten a few ranked contenders, Marciano broke him. Harry Matthews was a decorated fighter, dubbed the pride of the west coast for his wins over multiple heavyweight contenders (Beshore, Layne, etc), black Murderer's rower Lloyd Marshall, Middleweight champ Al Hostak, #1 LHW contender Bob Murphy, held black Murderer's rower Jack Chase to a very close decision, EVEN BEAT PAST PRIME EZZARD CHARLES, and was the #2 ranked contender going in against Marciano. Marciano separated him from conciousness in 2 rounds. His career never recovered. He is one of the most underrated fighters I've ever seen and could've been a top 100 p4per if he had been managed better. Louis may have been post retirement and overweight but he still proved he was a threat to the ranks by beating ranked contender Cesar Brion, top 100 p4per Jimmy Bivins, and winning rounds against champion Ezzard Charles. And hell, he was in worse shape against Charles than he was against Marciano! Louis went on to give Marciano nothing but compliments, he decorated Marciano was one of the greatest to ever lace up the gloves and favored him over Ali himself. Marciano beat many other ranked contenders as well. Wilder's resume is garbage, unnoticeable trash compared to Marciano's. Hell, Marciano's climb to the title that involved Louis, Layne and Matthews, for Wilder's era, would've been the equivalent of fighting Fury-fight Wlad, Luis Ortiz and Alexander Povetkin all in the same year! That's unthinkable nowadays for a heavyweight! Marciano's resume is superior, stop trying to rewrite history.
Lmao 1 isn't a HW, he's a MW. Byrd isn't much more. Tubbs? Nah Malik Scott? The scuba diver? Are you having a giggle?
Yessss, harness the power! Unleash the rage! *Dramatic thunder and lightning sound effects* Welcome to the dark side...
You do know who Stiverne, Breazeale and Ortiz are, don't you? Or is this another Ring Magazine you are talking about?
Where are you getting your rankings? 2016... Tyson Fury, Champion Wladimir Klitschko Deontay Wilder Kubrat Pulev Luis Ortiz Anthony Joshua Joseph Parker Bermane Stiverne David Haye Andy Ruiz Jr. Dillian Whyte And you saying he beat Fury does not make it so.
Walcott was prime at 38? He would have one more fight and retire .Why would he retire after one more fight? We have been over the underlined, its disappointing you are still trying to sell this! Louis was in worse shape against Charles because he had been retired for over 2 years! Moore was 38 according to him and 40 according to his Mother ,either way he was not prime! Bivins was past prime when he fought Louis.Show me a quote in which Louis picked Marciano over Ali? I can show you quotes where Louis referred to Marciano as a street brawler.
