Boxers snap there shots better and have a better punching technique but is that the only reason why there are less one punch KO artists in the UFC?
Why can Roger Federer hit a perfect cross court forehand winner and the local country club tennis coach hits it into the net or wide of the line. There is levels to this.
Even though this is NOT true..... I will say that..... Its more difficult to aim properly with those small MMA gloves, and take in to account the fact that there are more variables in MMA, you have a smaller chance on aiming accurately towards the head
There are KO artists in MMA capable of rendering their opponent unconscious with punches, elbows, knees and kicks. Not all MMA fighters have striking backgrounds. Theres no absolute standard for MMA striking as they come from all sorts of different disciplines. But plenty of KO artists. This thread is just wrong.
No there punching technique isn`t as good, you can clearly see that, it`s more messy, even an MMA channel stated that.
There elbows, knees and kicks have far better technique than there punches, the strikes in MMA fghts don`t land as clean as punches in a lot of boxing matches, that`s why Conor couldn`t translate the power he has when using MMA gloves to the power he neededd with bigger gloves, you can knock an opponent out in an MMA fight with inferior technique because the gloves are small and there`s less of a cushion between the fist and the skull being hit.
A boxers punching technique would also falter in MMA if he had to worry about additional factors such as low kicks and takedowns.
Mark ant knows **** about MMA clearly. There are plenty of 1 punch KOs. Some guys use what is called "casting punches" which aren't really seen in boxing, and they hit like ****ing trucks.
