The big name he has fought is Canelo. Compare that to Canelo has fought Mayweather, GGG, Kovalev, Cotto, Mosley, Lara etc Its a big embarrasing from GGG to have only one big name on his record and even then he lost. If he had not ducked Ward and Lara then this thread would not had been made.

The fact that GGG even wanted to fight Cotton is a joke in itself. When exactly was Cotton supposed to fight GGG anyway? After beating Martinez he had a year lay off and fought Daniel Geale as a tune up to set up a mega fight with Canelo Alvarez that was years in the making. The fight Was supposed to happen at 154 but Cotton lost to Trout so Canelo fought him instead. How exactly is it Cottons fault that GGG wasted his prime seeking handouts after fighting the Gabe Rosados and Curtis Stevens of the world?
GGG would have beat the holy hell out of Lara. You saw what Angulo did to him. Well GGG is basically a far better version of Angulo.

Golovkin's entire career is based on him feasting on hopeless opponents and begging for free paydays. That's why he will not even be remembered when he's gone. Fighters are remembered by their performances against top level opposition and for beating opponents they were not expected to beat. Even his biggest step up, Alvarez(who barely had enough Middleweight fights at that point ), he lost.
