Filip has developed into a greater technical, physical and mental fighter and with this being our fifth fight together I believe our chemistry has really grown into something that everyone will see on December 7th in the ‘Clash on the Dunes’.

I'm thinking he stops Molina in 4 rounds or less. I hope it not a 1st round KO, I want to see this improvement his trainer is talking about.

One can only hope Hrgovic gets a mandatory vs Wilder. This way he can’t run away form the match so easily.

No I will not. I think Hrgovic is ready right now and want this one to happen before the Wilder fans say he was too old.

I don’t think Wilder will beat Fury, which increases the chances of this fight happening.

No need to rush. They guys only 27 or 28? Young by HW standards. Why not let him work his way through the ranks??

I think once the dust settles between Ruiz, AJ, Fury and Wilder it will be time for Hrgovic.

Right now, the big money fights are between those guys.

Maybe I have it wrong. I'm open to being educated.

If Wilder fought Hrgovic, or Usyk or Joyce or anyone else mentioned in this thread next ...

    And beat them ...

We'd get the same tired bull about "they weren't rated at heavyweight by RING when Wilder fought them so Wilder still hasn't fought anyone."

Huh? Ortiz was at least 37. Wilder won’t be that old if he dares to meet Hrgovic so you point is moot.

Usyk will likely crack the top ten as Old man Ortiz should be out and Povetkin and Pulev close to Ortiz in age might soon join him.

The other two are punchers with skills, The type Wilder avoids could very well be ring magazine rated by mid 2020.

Boxing fans know who the bum title opponents are. The three you mentioned would be better than anyone Wilder beat.

    They are all contenders already.

They aren't magically BETTER when a magazine decides to include their name.

IF. Wilder just turned 34 in late October. This fight is not likely happening when he's 37 or 40.

Age 34, or 35 makes the most sense. A pity, Wilder has had 43 Pro fights and has very few wins over top ten opponents. This is on him, he's not come close to fighting the best out there aside from Fury, and he was lucky to draw in that match.

I use Ring Magazine, and Box Rec to get a gauge of where they are as its 3 party. I prefer Ring Magazine over Box Rec, for the most part but feel both are a bit kind to older fighters on the slide, and slow to notice the up and comers who would be favored to beat them in an odds sense.

My point is Wilder does not fight young contenders or punchers for the most part. Given his tenure his resume is paper thin of quality opponents in their prime and that's on him. He can reverse this. A loss to Fury and he won't be cherry picking title defenses, he'll have to fight someone with a belt.
