    I keep seeing people insist Deontay Wilder has only fought TWO contenders. Some put the number at a grand total of FOUR contenders.

    Deontay Wilder is the WBC Champion.

    Wilder beat the reigning WBC champion when he won the title.

    Wilder has made 10 successful defenses of the WBC belt against WBC contenders.

    Wilder will make his 11th defense of the WBC title against a WBC contender in February (unless Andy Ruiz wins again Saturday and the two of them decide to unify).

    Everyone Deontay Wilder has fought in the last five years has been a WBC contender.

    Everyone Deontay Wilder signed to fight who then failed their drug tests were WBC contenders.

    All of them.

    Who RING Magazine rates as a contender is meaningless. Who Ring Magazine once ranked but no longer ranks is meaningless.

    Oleksandr Usyk is a WBC heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next.

    Mike Hunter is a WBC heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next if he beats Povetkin (who is also a WBC heavyweight contender right now).

    Joe Joyce is a WBC Heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next.

    Filip Hrgovic is a WBC Heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next.

    Daniel Dubois is a WBC Heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next.

    Dereck Chisora is a WBC Heavyweight contender right now. Wilder could fight him next.

    It doesn't matter that Ring Magazine doesn't RANK ANY OF THEM ... Not Usyk at heavyweight, or Hunter, or Joyce, or Hrgovic, or Chisora or Dubois ... BECAUSE THE WBC RANKS THEM.

    They are all WBC contenders.

    Just like everyone Wilder has faced as champ.

    Well anyone who contends for the WBC title is technically a contender. Be they a pastry chef, special needs teacher, polish football hooligan, ancient man, etc etc.

    If Dave Allen fought for the WBC title he'd be a contender.

    So the op's argument is watertight.

    If you keep seeing people saying Wilder has only fought two actual contenders then that's probably the case. Just how you keep seeing people say Fury clearly beat Wilder!!! Cos he did.

    It's amusing, to justify Wilder's reign, the OP has listed a bunch of fighters he hasn't boxed. We could all make the Hall of Fame by that measure. I'm a lock-in...
