In his last 17 fights Marciano was only as heavy as 189lbs twice. In his last 24 fights Tyson was only as low as 216lbs once.
Sorry, my math was off. About 30-35 between Mike and Rocky, since Mike was 216-221 in his prime and Rocky 184-189. Tua was about 226-244 for his best fights, so that would be 10-25 lbs over Mike. And, yes, I can theoretically can see a lighter more skilled and faster fighter beat Mike.
It is 37 lbs. And still not giving Tua the advantage. In part because much of that extra weight is lard.
Take a look for yourself at the 253lb Tua. It’s certainly artificial...but definitely no lard. This content is protected
What common opponents besides Lewis do they have? It's a bit hard to measure them by Lewis because Tyson was not nearly the man he was in his prime. If we did look at him as the barometer, Tua comes out quite a bit better.
Good thing Tyson was lightning fast with ballerina-like balance and quickness. Because anyone that size (or smaller, God forbid) who is slower (or significantly slower, God forbid) and gets off-balance with frequency, gets destroyed.
Whelp, the consensus seems to be that Tyson splatters him. I'm not so sure, but usually the forum is more or less correct on matchups. I don't think Tua would be easy for Tyson by any means.
