Thanks for posting. I was shocked when he said he was going to hold centre ring....with him dropping the muscle mass and the ring being made to be 22 feet, it all pointed to back pedalling, jab and hold.

Joshua boxed very well that night but the ref made it an ‘outside’ fight. It was such a strange decision to pull him in to referee that fight. According to boxrec https://boxrec.com/en/referee/400968?offset=0
he had only reffed 1 heavyweight bout (Povetkin in 2011) before and none since in the AJ-Parker fight. He hasn’t reffed anything of that magnitude before.

A jab and grab points decision for Joshua does seem a likely outcome.

    I hope I’m wrong.

Yeah so then dont you think AJ has had numerous Ruiz moments in sparring?

    like come on Twenty..

Its a big disrespect to say he “lost part of him”

He wouldnt have lasted this long in the sport if that were the case

You wanna talk mileage from a physical sense fair play but he is far from being or looking spent physically there are other older fighters who could say yeah theyve been through too much their body cant handle it

Yeah, but 18oz gloves and headgear in sparring which limits the damage.

I’m not sure if you’re misinterpreting what I’m saying when I say a ‘part of them’. There’s still plenty left, he could win on Saturday and if not Saturday he could win further down the line. I’m just saying that physically and mentally, the 28th April, 2017 version of Joshua was a lot fresher physically and mentally than the fighter that turned up 6 months later against Takam, and later Parker and then Povetkin. You think Joshua didn’t lose something when he got knocked down 4 times by Ruiz? He’s changed his mindset and adjusted his body shape so he never has to go down that road again and take a beating like that. He doesn’t want a war and I don’t blame him.

Lol yeah agree to disagree then as you think he lost something just by his actions in switching up the gameplan and slimming down

i just see a guy who *learnt something* rather and is now evolving and adapting to meet the challenge

Funny how you take that as a sign of weakness thought I think that says more about you than it does joshua

Anyways ill be rooting for him on Saturday to bring the belts back home to England and im confident he’ll get the job done

Tony Dosh PPV should beat the fat pudding on Sat but I would not be confident backing him to beat Wilder or Fury and he will be a sitting duck when Usyk, Dynamite Daniels Dubois and Martin Bakole get in the ring with him.

Stamina, heart and chin tested in last fight with confirmation of a major failure in all 3 areas.

    This is a strange interaction...

Ok, not sure if it’s deliberate that you take things I say out of context or misinterpret them...

He’s evolving and adapting, you’re absolutely right. Like he evolved and adapted after the Klitschko fight, which is the fight I was mainly referencing. He evolved and adapted because he never wanted to go to that dark place again, because he realised that whilst brute strength and power got him where he wanted to be in terms of progression, it also meant he was getting punched in the head more than he wanted to. He was on the brink against Klitschko, and he dug deeper than he’s ever dug in his life to get through it. Naturally, he doesn’t want to go through it again. I’ve now said the same thing 3 times so I hope you grasp it now. I’ve said nothing about weakness or what I see as weakness.

I actually thought Parker won by 2 rounds although it was a good hard fight for both.

That Blob in New York in the ring with Tony Dosh would be splatted by Wilder and played with by Fury for 12 rounds.

Will be shocked if he wins again on Sat and also if your man cannot play a tune on Bach

My point is you have no right to say Anthnony Joshua view it as a "dark place" where klitckhko took him....

You arent inside his head... and inferring things from your television means didly squat... hell if people in public inferred things about my body language they would have the most skewed idea of who i really am as a person

What you THINK anthony joshua views as a dark place... is a place anthony LOVES visiting... as a happy place...good old dust ups

It was a team and strategic place to spend minimum time in the so called "dark place" as twenty describes it which is actually a place anthony enjoys.

I do like a bet but this one now has neon warning signs. Joshua is being afforded advantages which are outside of the norm. He won't be taking centre ring - in a ring which has been earmarked, exported and then widened to a degree which seems (is) outside of the rules. This is being done for a reason, otherwise he could take centre ring in any ring. The shedding of weight, enhanced cardio and custom ring means lots of running around. It does not mean he will win, but as we are outside of normality then I won't bet on the fight.

“They’re doing a great job, the Saudis, in so many areas” said the Briton who attempts this Saturday to regain his heavyweight titles from Ruiz, the unassuming Mexican American, who so emphatically ripped them away from Joshua, whilst inflicting the Watford mans first defeat as a professional, at Madison Square Garden back in June.

“they’re a decent race of people the browns, although not as good as the superior black race” he added, rubbing his chin ponderously, and knocking himself out cold in the process.
